why is my tempreture light coming on intermitently on my vw transporter? i have a 1992 K reg VW transporter T4. And sometimes the the tempreture light comes on? The tempreture is fine and working ok but it still comes on? It is running great and not overheating etc. But it still comes on.? Arghh its most annoying. If anyone could help i would be very very greatfull. thank you.

Can you lower an ex AA VW Transporter? I'm sure i read somewhere that they have special rear suspension to deal with the towing they do, so you cant change the springs. Or is that a load of twaddle?

VW Transporter Tdi cutting out on acceleration? As I accelerate in 3rd gear my van seems to cut out for a second & then loses it's power it had prior to this happening.As it cuts out passengers have said it felt like I had took my foot off the accelerator or had braked. My van is 6 years old & has just had a new exhaust so that wasn't the problem. My partner has a van the same age, model & they don't compare at all these days. Mine seems sluggish. VW transporter fan belt-above or below the water pump? We have just done some repairs to a VW T4 Transporter Van (1.9 TD with no air conditioning) and need to know if the fan belt needs to be fitted over the water pump or under it. Since the Van is not ours, we don't want to have to pay for a manual just to check this one thing. Where can I get ideas for renovating the interior of a VW hightop transporter? Any websites with ideas or materials that would make the interior look good would be gratefully received. I need to replace the corded carpet on the ceiling and walls of the inside. Also to 'rejuvenate' the laminate type kitchenette which is on the back aspect of the camper. QUESTION ABOUT VW TRANSPORTER VAN. IT GOES OFF WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT!? I have a VW transporter van. It started normally when it is cold but as soon as the engine is getting hotter, the engine suddenly stop. My technician told me it was the fuel pump. The situation continued even after replacing the fuel pump. Another technician said I should change the engine from injector system to carburetor. I don't like thi idea. How can I solve this engine stop problem?

Vw transporter t30 2004 central locking failure? Hey guys, On my Vw transport T30 2004 model the central locking has totally failed and I need to use the key to get in to it. Although on the passenger side door there is no key hole to open the door with and if cant open up the passenger side door then i cant open up the fuel door which is only accessible when the passenger door is opened. So I have no way of refueling it. Can any one help me with this problem?.

Clicking/ticking nosie when trying to start my vw transporter van? when turning the key a ticking nosie comes from the van and thats all engine does not turn over, I have jump started it and it runs fine, I'm not sure but think the glow plug relay is making the ticking, I have replaced it but still same problem any ideas please

VW Transporter head problem!? Hi there. I have found it impossible to get hold of a manual for an 'L' reg 1991 2.4 diesel VW Transporter van. My head gasket has blown and water is getting in the barrels. Does any one know the sequence and torque settings for the head? Any additional info would also be greatly appreciated. Vw transporter 1999 brake warning lamp on...? 99 V LHD v-dub transporter, brake warning lamp been on, I changed the rear pads today as they were knackered! But, the warning lamp is still on! I have checked the wiring connecters, they seem fine, the pads were Ferodo rather than VW ones.... I have even connected my Snap-On Solus scanner to it, but no fault codes in ABS menu, and it cannot talk to the dash menu... Any help be appreciated!!!
1974 VW Transporter II Engine Question? Hi, We have a 1974 VW Bus that we are working to restore, and I have a question about the engine. We have pulled the original engine and have come to find that it has two cracked heads. We haven't determined whether the block is shot or not yet, but that's next. We are planning to rebuild (obviously) but we have run into a couple problems. One is that the engine in our VW is a 1.7L or a 1700cc engine. This engine was only used in the Transporter II for a VERY short time between the classic 1600cc air cooled engine and the change over to the 2 liter radiator cooled engine. So, finding parts is proving to be either difficult, expensive, or both. I have considered putting in a 1600cc engine, because it's cheaper, but there's 2 problems with this, 1) less power, and 2) I don't know if it will be compatible with the automatic transmission that we have already rebuilt. Any suggestions? Or even suggestions of where we can find information that would help to solve this problem? Thanks!!!!

k & n induction kits+vw transporter? I have a year 2000 vw transporter 1.9TD, and i was thinking about buying a k&n induction kit. I purchased a 2005 VW TRANSPORTER but 2 days later the engine ceased - How & Can i get my money back ? I was the highest bidder on a VW Transporter 05 plate - 2.5 tdi, on Ebay. The description stated that it had a small stone chips on the bonnet and the bumper was slightly damaged,he said he was being over critical at that- the pictures looked like it was only cracked. After a very long journey we finally saw the van, the stone chips was actually deep dents, there was a few cratches on the van. When we was looking at the stone chips - the seller opened the rear doors. When i saw the bumper it was badly split & dented, I immediatley stressed my concerns, asking when it had been hit from behind and was the frame work under the van ok, as i am not a mechanic, I wouldn't know what i was looking for. The seller was adimant that the damage was only to the outer bumper, and deucted £100 from the £5,300 i paid so i could purchase a new one. He told me that he had buffed and polished it the day before - i collected it. When i got home i took it to a garage to get a quote for the bumper and was told the frame work was very buckled, the back door was jammed and only opened from inside, plus it would not lock (the lock swivled round). When close upto the van there was a fine green mist of paint on 1 panel. To get all these jobs done plus the frame work straightened - it was going to cost a small fortune. I tried to call and email the seller - who ignored me !! On my way to pick up the parts (only the 2nd after purchase) the engine ceased. I have made contact by letter stating what is wrong with the van and i want a refund as the seller is a trader, this is clearly stated on the ebay listing but he had not registered as a trader and he said he was a trader who got his vans out of companies with 0 owners on the log book. As he was ignoring the letter, my partner sent him a message, and the seller contact the police who phoned and said he had been threatened but wants to pay back all of the money, he will contact you tomorrow. He never made contact, i rang him to see what arrangements we could make and he told me i would not get a F***ing penny and see his solicitor, and slammed down the phone. I dont know why he went to the police because the message was not threatening as such, just said how would he like to be ripped off with that amount of money and this problem will not go away. I think it may not have been the police who called. I have left negative feed back and i did not pay a penny through paypal - what can i do ? Is there a way to get my money back, as i read traders as to adhere to the sales of Goods Act. What steps should i take now, and i can't really afford a solicitor to take it to court. I appreciate your help and thanks in advance. x
Why does the starter motor on my VW Transporter keep breking - and in the same place, ?!!? I purchased a VW Transporter 1.9 1000 TD. It's a 2000 model. I have only had it 2 weeks, it wouldn't start..took it to a machanic who said i needed a starter motor as the little wire on top had blown , it looks like a kind of earth or fuse wire... Sorry i am not machanically minded so haven't a clue what parts are called - ! £130 later and a new starter motor on, it started for a few hours. Then same again, but the confusing part is WHY is this happening and in the same place .... If i replace it, whats to say its not going to happen again, is something else causing this to happen - if so what and how much ?

What makes VW Transporter/Porsche 914 axles turn counterclockwise while VW/Porsche 911 turn clockwise? Thx? This question relates to mounting a Harley-D engine on front of a 3-wheeler FWD microcar. I have located an adapter ($1800!) to buckle up the V-Twin to the bellhousing. The gearshift would be simple, and tranny will provide a reverse gear. The rest is mostly mix-and-match. I would prefer the engine to be up front, as a counterweight to rest of chassis, (think 1935 Morgan SuperSport with a more modern profile)

My vw T4 Transporter has developed a starting problem...? 2 out of the last 4 nights my vw has failed to fire up after being parked up, but the following morning works fine. having trouble getting into gear especially from 3rd to 2nd with vw transporter t25 1.9.? sometimes no problem othertimes a real pain. try to be gentle!can it be fixed as im dying to have a stress free drive!!!
