Are the Big Yellow Monsters destroying America? To answer this question one would do well to look at Charlote, NC No Big Yellow Monsters there carting kids around from school to school. So the majority of kids go to the school nearest their homes, and behold, school violence is almost non-existant because the kids go to school with the same kids they play with after school. No roudiness in the classrooms because quite often the teacher socializes with most of the mothers.....don't dare misbehave. But the BEST difference is the absence of police. No cops in the schools in Charlotte, N.C. Of course any child (or parent) can choose any public school they wish but if transportation is required, the parents must arrange transportation or take them themselves. And in addition to better, safe, and well ordered students, Charlotte officials are ahead $900,000.00 in Big Yellow Monsters fuel they no longer have to pay. Compare all that with cities where the Big Yellow Monsters still roam...are the Big Yellow Monsters destroying America?

Why isn’t it the law for public buses to have seatbelts? In cars, everyone has to wear seatbelts and even kids on school buses but on public transportation buses and even big yellow school buses for trips, there aren’t seatbelts. Isn’t that dangerous? Especially if passengers stand and if an accident happened. People will go right through the windshield then. So why isn’t it against the law for public buses not to have seatbelts as it is with not wearing seatbelts in cars?

Is there any Reliable transportation in North Austin - Lake Travis area – Austin does not have taxi service? I m visiting Austin from LA, Lake Travis resort was recommended to me by friend from Cali, along with that I was told that the only taxi company in the region is yellow cab, I called them to schedule multiple runs to Lake Travis for a week no body answers busy signals, for 2 days ( Friday, Saturday) I did a little search on Google I found North Austin Taxi Service LLC 512-553-7777 When I called them first they said they are not permitted to pick up from the OMNI hotel in Down town, the dispatcher called one of his friend who works with yellow cab to pick me up to Round Rock then North Austin Taxi Service LLC took over. I was told that North Austin Taxi Service LLC operates in Round Rock area, my question is how come the city does not motivate these people since they are very reliable and an example of great business ?
Leopard Gecko Transportation Help!? k well i live in a small town and my cousin lives about an hour and a half away. He breeds many different reptiles including Ball Pythons, Amazon Tree Boa's, Milk snakes and of course Leopard Gecko's. he's offered to give me a free Leo since i was talking to him about wanting one for a long time. he just told me that one of his eggs hatched, it's a High Yellow Het for Albino and Paternless. so i'm going to be going to get her in a few weeks (Giving her time to grow before i take her home). And i was wondering what would be the best way to take her home in, while in the car for 1 1/2 hours. What i have so far: - Cardboard Box - About 1 foot - 1 foot - 2 hiding places - Piece of Driftwood - Paper Towel Bedding What temperature should i try to keep it at? because i can't heat it. Sow when it gets too hot i will open a window, when it gets colder i will shut the windows. would that be okay? we do not have AC. should i put food (Mealworms) in there for her? water bowl? if i'm missing anything, please tell me. i want to make the the safest trip possible for her. Oh yeah, he is also giving me the tank (20 gallon long so he says) and the heat lamp.
how much did you pay on wedding day transportation or how did you handle your day of transpiration? I was thinking about renting 2 very nice expensive SUV's in lieu of a limo so we would have the SUV 's for two days. A friend just hopped in a yellow cab. What did you do or what is your plan and how much did ( or will it ) cost? Thanks i am trying to come up with a money saving plan. sorry for the spelling error, i pressed submit to fast there will be 4 bridesmaid 1 flower girl and 4 groomsman and 1 ringbearer. Plus of course me and him so 11 people. We are renting a suv's because we live in a major city, my car is a mini cooper. His car can hold 3 men possibly. My bridesmaids do not alll drive and to save thme from renting a car, we can use the suv for airport pickup , errands etc.. thats why people get limo's to fit everyone at least thats what i thought.
What was the last thing (even a tiny tap) you hit with your mode of transportation? Today, I backed into 4 yellow poles. Right smack into them. I didn't even hit the brake. I was still backing away, and BAMM! It was my work truck, on the company parking lot, infront of the entire fire alarm design team. Since today was April Fools, when they went in to 'tell on me', no one would believe I had actually crashed my truck. They thought it was an April Fools joke! Ha! One drug test later, I am home, with the truck, my job secure. I wonder how long it will take for them to 'forget' this one! Poo!
Can you help me with this easy there should be 15 errors and highlight your correction in yellow.? Why are many students choosing to pursue their college degrees using their home computers. Benjamin Franklin said; A penny saved is a penny earned.” This principle applies to the american and foreign online student. Today students choose to take online courses to save money on transportation, books, babysitters and supplies. The fluctuating cost of gasoline in the united states is one reason online courses appeal to university of phoenix students. They would rather cushion there financial nest eggs than spend money on replacing worn tires or risk icy road conditions. Students also realize that a traditional college requires them to purchase numerous book’s; online courses, on the other hand, provide the majority of their course materials within the virtual classroom. A student might save hundreds of dollars on textbooks during one block of courses. Additionally online courses are convenient for parents and caregivers. College students who are responsible for children or aging parents must rely on outside help. Online students are able to avoid the high costs of hiring people to take care of their loved ones. Last, an online student does not have to purchase supplies. Pencils, pens, paper, erasers, backpacks staplers, and paper clips are all needed in traditional courses. The online student needs only one tool to complete a college degree; a home computer. A computer is an online student's conduit to class and to all the materials he or she needs. Franklin D. roosevelt exclaimed, “Happiness is not the mere possession of money.” He wanted Americans to understand that the joy of achievement is the path to happiness. Even President Roosevelt would agree, though, that earning an online college degree is a financially wise decision.

How is my ninja essay? Black as the night. Swift as an eagle. Strong like an ox. These are the characteristics of a ninja. Ninjas are the primary theme of our Great Gatsby presentation. My group and I attempted to use the ninja theme to create an alternate setting for out scene. The scene we were assigned was the death of Myrtle. In this scene, Myrtle is found dead at Wilson’s Garage because of a hit and run. We found out that the death of Myrtle was caused by Gatsby’s yellow car. The driver, however, was never mentioned in the book. When Nick and his friends arrive at the accident, Tom and Wilson both are saddened at the sight of Myrtle’s lifeless body, and with this scene, we choice to do the ninja theme. When we chose the ninja setting, we discovered many changes. The first change I noticed was the attire. Instead of being a 1920’s look, we had a black clothes. Ninjas are famous for their black attire. They are usually covered entirely in black cloth except a thin strip across the eyes so they can see. We successfully dressed like a ninja. Another difference between the original setting and our setting was the difference in commerce. In the 1920’s people who had money usually didn’t have much political power. However, people in Asia, the place where ninjas originated, were a lot different. People with money in Asia usually had a lot of power. People’s political power classes were determined by their income. Since ninjas did not have a lot of political power, it meant that they were not very wealthy. So with our presentation we were not allowed to have an upper class type of setting. Finally, when using the ninja theme we were not allowed to use motor vehicles of any kind. During the age of the ninja, cars and other means of motor transportation did not exist. Because of the this, we could not use the original death scene as proposed in the Great Gatsby. So instead of hitting Myrtle with a car, we used a fight scene. Hand to hand combat was often used by ninjas. Ninjas were usually masters at different types of Martial Arts. Some of the types of martial arts that we used were karate, kung fu, and tae-kwon-do. These martial arts were an important technique used by ninjas. As you can see, the setting we used was ninja. The ninja theme effected the original clothing style, wealth and the death of myrtle. The ninja theme was most effective when it came to choosing an alternate setting of The Great Gatsby.

But what is wrong with people these days?!?! I work in an office for a University and we give out stickers for free public transportation. One sticker will allow you unlimited rides for a whole semester. These stickers are automaticly mailed to every student. People kept coming in asking about them and we must repeat every 2 minutes that the stickers are mailed! People kept asking so we posted up BRIGHT red signs stating the stickers are mailed... They are proped up on the counter right in front of me and some people still dont bother reading...so we posted even Bigger and Brighter yellow signs hanging off the counter stating the same thing...we put signs on front door! We put signs on the counter.... our freakin office looks like a rainbow, each sign stating the exact same thing.... and PEOPLE STILL dont read... I dont get it!!! BUT WAIT I shouldnt say everyone does read...White people will read and understand and walk away.. Black people will read and understand and walk away..Mexicans will read and understanda and walkway...Almost everyone reads and understands except International Students...and mainly international people from India.. I dont get it..is it something about their culture?..and when they do ask, and they always do..They never understand what Im saying... Im getting super frustrated...I understand Its my job to help people and I dont mind but I mean DAmn there is a HUGE sign in front of me why cant they read?!?! Do you read signs? Why or why not?

My umbrella was stolen on the bus yesterday? Yesterday when I was coming home from school on the bus(not the yellow bus, public transportation), I had my umbrella in my hand and I fell asleep on the bus. When I woke up to get off at my stop, my umbrella was gone. I looked on the floor of the bus and everywhere I could possibly look and I couldn't find it. I don't know whether my umbrella fell out of my hand while I was sleeping and someone picked it up, or I don't know if someone "pick-pocketed" the umbrella out of my hand while I was sleeping. I do recall a guy sitting next to me on the bus before I fell asleep and he was sitting pretty close. By the way, I live in NYC, so pick-pocketing isn't rare.

How do I get this guy to leave me alone? I met this guy on the bus yesterday, and have tried to get rid of his interest ever since. We have absolutely nothing in common, and we talked about a wide range of topics. Secondly, and this is the biggie, his breath smells like smoke and his teeth are completely yellow, my dad smoked for 20 years and quit 3 years ago, I am utterly repulsed by smokers. Third, he kicked my seat over and over until finally talking to me, he is just irritating in general. I tried to sound like the most boring person today, and yet he continues to be interested in me, and I don't see why. I have no other form of transportation and he follows me where ever I sit. Oh, and this is high school, I'm 15. Any advice? =[ Oh, and I just said "yeah" over and over today, after I found we had little to nothing in common.

My baby bamboo seems to be dieing and I need some help figuring out what's wrong with it. Can you help? It was sent to me from a nursery, and they say it's just from shock from the transportation. The leaves turned yellow and fell off; all of them. I have it transplanted it in potting soil mixed with gypsum pellets, sand, and organic fertilizer, and have small rocks/pebbles on the very bottom for better drainage. I also have it on a raised platform/water catcher for air circulation. It is a black bamboo, and I have it in plenty of sunlight; the soil has also been consistently damp since I've had it.

Movie about a Color War? When I was in Kindergarten and First or Second Grade, I watched a movie in class about 3 kingdoms. There was a Red, Yellow, and a Blue kingdom, and each hated each other. The people from the yellow kingdom flew around on big yellow hula-hoop looking things, while the blue people used hot air balloons as transportation. Some guy from the yellow kingdom fell in love with the princess from the red kingdom. This of course caused problems, and in the end all 3 kingdoms went to war. The battle took place at the red palace. As they fought, their colors mixed and new colors were created. At some point, a bunch of people were hanging off a cliff and someone saves them and they all live happily ever after with their new secondary colors. I don't know why, but I had this urge to see the video again. If anyone could tell me the name of the video or where to find it, that would be awesome.

He just got laid off last week and wants to "wait" till after the new year to get a job, "cause no one is hiring"(BS, is my response to that)..I think McDonalds etc, is not to his pay scale, he won't work for that amount, but isn't some income better than no income?..He dresses like he's "gangsta", that's fine, but we live in the Bible belt, and unfortunately, you are judged, first impressions, it is just how it is, especially when looking for a job....There are 5 kids, 2 adults, and now with the new dog, 2 dogs in the home. My daughter, and soon to be baby in the house, I cosigned for the car she has, and stated, that when she can't work, if the boyfriend isn't working, and I have to make the car payment, the car comes to my house..(see details) Additional Details 15 minutes ago I am not going to work my a++ off while he just lays around and pay for that car.....she and the car and the baby can move back home. I got her the car so she'd have dependable transportation, safe, and to help her get a better start in life than I sure did, and I pay the insurance...My daughter is not ungrateful, she appreciates this. But, I don't think this is right him not working with a baby coming.....so I refuse to pay the car payment/insurance when she can't work, so he doesn't have to, the car comes here, and I will drive it, its an '05, my car is a 1986, piece of crap.....I would love to hear some real opinions on this...... 9 minutes ago the boyfriend likes the "gangsta" stuff, so he got a beat up light yellow cadillac, that fell apart....she had no transportation to work, relying on his parents, and that is why I wanted her to get the car I co-signed for, but it is in my name/credit for 5yrs..so that is why I will reposses it......ps he has no drivers licence (?)..he's a good kid, but not grown up, thinking that when the baby comes, he'll either become a man, or pull his tail between his legs and cave...Nothing inbetween...... This is 2006, believe me they had the speaches of unprotected sex, guarantee that's how most of us got here!!!!!! he can't draw unemploymen because he doesn't have enough in his base period=not at work anywhere long enough to draw unemployment....oh, I am stressed....
When you have so many great answers for the 'Seat' category...? Why won't anybody ask a question: Cars & Transportation > Car Makes > Seat Why? Top Contributor would be SO easy... Poll: Yellow cheese or White cheese? Is this so very complicated?
Modifications for a '98 Mustang Gt? I have a 1998 Ford Mustang Gt, For around $2000-$3000 (not including labor) what kind of modifications (performance wise) could/should i get? Its an everyday driver and i wont be taking it to the race track very often (maybe 1-2 times a month). I mean if i could modify it enough to race on a $2000-$3000 budget i would but its my primary means of transportation so I'm not worried about nitrous or taking out the a/c or whatever to make it lighter. It has the SOHC 4.6 L V8 in it. I'm working on getting a stereo system put in it and got that taken care of. The last owner had a sports bra on the front and it made the paint a different shade of yellow. once i get done with the mods i plan on getting it painted. not included in the $2000-$3000 Any ideas on a color??? (nothing spectacular) most likely just a solid color and possibly racing stripes.
My 4.5 lbs dog ate an onion? My min pin ate 4-5 round pieces of a medium yellow onion. Will she be ok? Any suggestion on what I should do, don't have poroxide at home and no available transportation at the moment.

The example that he cited are based on relationships, yes- whether they be a cousin or a hairdresser. However, the GREAT BIG DIFFERENCE is that when someone goes out of their way to verbally expound the degree of influence that someone has on you as well as when you tout this person as a role model or "mentor" - well now this is VERY dofferent. By doing this, you indeed are connecting yourself to this person in every way since you indicated that their beliefs were used to mentor and foster your own beliefs. When you look up to someone as a mentor or role model, you are believing in the basic principles of theirs. Obama's open statements to th ereverend being his spiritual mentor and best friend makes his beliefs as suspect as the reverend's. In addition, Obama can now denounce all he wants to but how could he be a parishioner for 17 years and listen to these types of statements if as Obama NOW states are "outrageous"? I think that we need to realy questiob Obama's truthfullness or question his judgement. In either case, the country should seriously reconsider any support for such a candidate. It is frightening that Obama's paltform really emphasizes "change" and his real agenda would seem to indicate other. We need to change our support to Senator Clinton and assure her success in November.3/17/2008 9:05:12 PMRecommend (0) Report Abuse Discussion Policy LISANROY wrote:amemended comments of dr kamal roy dt 3,17,2008LISANROY wrote:COMmENTS OF REV DR KAMAL KARNA Karuna ROY A REPUBLICAN CANIDATE AND HoPEFUL TO BE the NOMINEE OF GOP IN SCHEDULED ELECTION FOr NOV 4, 2008, IF BE HELD WITHOUT any COURT ORDER OF INJUNCTION to postpone corrpt election as PRAYED BY DR kamal k k ROY ALLEGING SKY_HIGH AND CLOUD_DARK CORRUPTIONS BY DEFENDANTS IN CIVIL ACTIONS FILED IN 20+ U S D COURT actions in 20+ different JURISDICTIONS with allegations against defendants for negligence to enforce laws not TO PUSH OUT ELECTORAL CONTESTANTS FROM WEAKER COMMUNITIES OF HAVE-nots 3/17/2008 9:04:05 PMRecommend (0) Report Abuse Discussion Policy rmorris391 wrote:well this is "midly amusing". While the Mainstream Media (MSM) has too much time on its hands, to consider a long winded campaign, the focus has shifted to non-political discourse, about intractable problems that confound american society. We have issues related to baseball players, after all, who alledgedly used illegal substances to puff up their biceps. Certainly, congress can devise a surge campaign to intervene with major league baseball, and save the poor players from the rich players. After all, the economic crisis in MLB is looming, and requires some "foreign ownership equity." This is, afterall the land of "ownership." At least that is what a young president Bush promised the american public. Roy has filed lawsuits against God, U.S. Presidents, Supreme Court Justices, fast food restaurants, foreign leaders.[2], and Wikipedia [3] [4].Roy's lawsuits have addressed, among many other things, actions taken by President George W. Bush, overcharging by telecommunication companies, the appointment of Chief Justice John Roberts to the Supreme Court, and "failure of democratic societies and God's role therein."[5] In 2006 Judge Michael W. McConnell of The United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit described a typical Roy complaint:Roy, a/k/a Joseph Geronimo, Jr. filed a 115-page complaint, a 144-page amended complaint, and a 40-page second amended complaint against over sixty defendants, including among many others President Bush, God as U.S.-based divine benefactor, several government agencies, The New York Times, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. In addition to pages of rambling discourse, the complaint contains numerous illegible handwritten remarks.[6]The Tenth Circuit went on to affirm the district court's dismissal of the complaint holding that no discernible claim was apparent from the complaint. Judge McConnell also humorously noted that the court "strongly suspect[ed] at least one defendant was not properly served."[7]Most, if not all, of Roy's complaints have been dismissed. A 2006 United States District Court for the District of Delaware opinion, Jungle Democracy v. Dream of small diamond-back, rattle-less snakes being eaten alive by ants, falling on me. Interpretation? Here's the dream: Because I had no other transportation, I arranged for a car service to pick me up from my home and a female friend from her home to go together to adult Sunday school at a local church about 3 miles from home. The outside of the church resembled the church I grew up attending but was one I'd never been to. We would be first time guests there and I knew the service began sharply at 10 a.m. The car service had only limos so I agreed to take a limo but my negotiated rate was $15 each way, or $30 total before tip. The driver who showed up was younger than most, maybe 19 years old. His uniform was older and a bit small for his pudgy body. He looked like a rookie driver. The limo was an out-dated model but at first impression, was moderately acceptable for basic transportation in a town with few transportation alternatives. I ran a bit late for the pick-up so the driver had to wait an extra 5 minutes at most. My lady friend was on time for her pick up. She made no comment about the limo but noted this was her first time to ride in one and was curious about it. All the interior details were unimpressive and old, rusted or non-functioning. We got to the church right at 10 a.m. and the driver printed out my receipt which was about 30 inches long with dozens of fees added on for supposedly overtime or incidentals. The bill came to $90 which was unacceptable. I told my lady friend to go inside and "save a place" for me as I would be in shortly after I discussed payment with the driver. I then had the driver take me around the block to discuss this bill out of view and earshot of the church, explaining this was not my negotiated rate in my reservation. I was upset and getting angry as the young driver had no good excuse for his bill padding. I recall getting out of the limo to take a closer look at what I had unwittingly hired.. The side was riddled with holes and dents, not from bullets, but more like rust or decay and small accidents over the years. The color was a sickly yellow-brown from a past bad decision for a limo color. The vinyl roof was almost all peeled off from age and sun weathering. I remember standing on top of the roof to inspect all, yelling how dilapidated the limo looked as the driver took me slowly around the block in heavy traffic to find a parking spot for angry negotiations. For some reason, the time was now early evening and the light was getting darker but I could see the limo better under the street lights than at curbside by the church. We passed under some low hanging trees and something fell on my shoulders which I first thought was just tree debris. On further inspection, a couple of small 10 inch snakes had fallen on my church clothes/jacket and they had diamond-back markings but no rattlers. The snakes were sick, writhing but almost dead themselves, covered in dark reddish black ants that were eating the snakes alive, inside and out. I didn't have an extreme reaction but picked the 2 snakes off me and realized I could have been bitten by either the snakes or the ants which made me more upset. These were distractions as the driver got out and offered to compromise for a lower amount. I decided to pay him $60 or twice what I bargained for but less than what his inflated $90 bill called for. I gave him the money but did not get a response yet as he pondered the offer. I was still upset for having been swindled and now late for church with somewhat soiled jacket from the dirty snakes and ants. Then I woke up. It was the image of the snakes being eaten alive by ants that I found to be a standout dream symbol and felt that they may have had some deeper meaning. By way of background, I have traveled extensively and often use car and limo services for transportation to and from the airport, saving money on multi-day parking. I've also recently had a bad experience with a low-class employer but avid church-goer with a dirty old house after his wife died and who wanted to cheat me for my work. The experience also included a young highway cop pulling me over who padded two long tickets full of extraneous and unnecessary charges. I see connections from my unsettling recent experiences to this dream, but any further interpretation of these dream symbols?
Under 21 Rescheduled Court Date? Today I had to appear in court (Atlanta, GA) for "failure to obey traffic control device" which in terms means I ran a red light according to the officer that stopped me. On the day I was stopped, I was making a left turn; the light only controls left turns. I noticed the police officer before I got to the light and was driving to make a left turn well within the speed limit. Just before I could make it to the white line the light proceeds to turn yellow, then turns red as I entered the intersection. I walk by the light everyday and know exactly how long it takes before it turns to red which is approx 4 seconds. So this means on the 4th second, I had already passed the YELLOW light. There was no chance of me slowing down because I knew I had enough time to make the light; as well as my conspicuous knowledge of the policeman waiting at the red light. I'd figured he'd have sense enough to realized I didn't run the light and couldn't slow down due to me approaching the yellow light at a safe speed. He was waiting in the far right lane and I had no clue as to how he knew I supposedly ran the light; since this is the only traffic light for left turns (I've included a diagram I made to make it easier to understand). His light turns green just 2 seconds after mine turns red. So this means if the light turned red for me after my 4th second, I didn't affect the flow of his traffic because there were 2 seconds left before it was time for them to go. So I'm still clueless as to how he figured I ran the light in broad daylight. Apparently since I'm under 21 (20 yrs), the judge couldn't talk to me today without a parent. I'm a college student living on my own taking care of myself without the constant aid of parents (who are in another state). My court date was rescheduled to May 21. The only thing I could plea to was Not Guilty, then come back and state my side of the story with the officer present. Honestly, I think this should be dismissed and I'm trying to find a way to keep from being in court with the officer. They always win their side of the story no matter what I say. This is my first ticket ever and I barely drive. I rely on public transportation and my own two legs for now. That day, I was using a friends vehicle. Someone told me to try and reschedule my court date a third time ( I guess to try and keep the officer from showing up hoping his schedule doesn't allow him to which would be an automatic dismissal). I really need advice here as to what to do to prepare from here. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=9i8bk4&s=5
What business companies use transportation services? Does anyone know where I could find a list of business companies that use transportation services? Like for instant, they use yellow cab or a limousine service for their company's transportation needs to the airport or business transportation? thanks!
Been dreaming about an island society for about a decade? I've had this dream about a place for maybe a DECADE & I'm thinking of writitng a book on it someday. My friends suggest that it has something to do with my sexuality. Ignore my spelling >_> Uuuuumkay. It's on an island above Oceania (between asia, america & above hawaii). Everyone here wears color contacts & dies their hair unnatural colors. The people are half Micronesian, half Asian. Sometimes they claim to have been there for centuries, other times they claim it started off as a tiny island where American soldiers dumped Japanese-Hawaiians; they sued latter & used the money to expand the island. Women: Women all have short bobbed hair, thick like in the 60s. They all wear shades of one color. It can be any color, but each girl only gets one. Like a girl with red hair & eyes might wear a red ress with pink & red-orange. Married women let their hair grow long. The women tend to be tough & aggrssive. Men: Men have long hair & come tricolored. They all appear to have Heterochromia (like David Bowie) All men are very petite & tall. Lets say there's a guy with purple hair; he would have one red eye & one yelloe eye, he'd have yellow & red hair streaks. He'd be wearing purple, yellow, & red. Married men have a bindi on their foreheads & wear their hair in tight braids. The men are rather dainty & speak softly. Fashion: The clothing is a total mishmash of cultures & centuries. Flaat-chested women dress like it's the 20s, men dress like it's the 70s, but 1700s for formal attire, the women dress in a sort of 60s-80s hybrid. The fashion looks a lot like Japanese Visual Kei really. Men are the sex-symbols, like in Alexander the Great's time. Society: Matriarcical. The women work & the men stay home & take care of the kids & cooking. Women are raised to be asexual, even taking drugs to kill desires. Mnen are raised gay but expected to marry. This is to prevent unwanted & premarital pregnancies. Romance: It's illegal for a couple to have more than 2 children or for a woman under 35 to marry. It's also illegal for men & women to date. Men do not have a say in whom they marry. If two women are after the same man, they will fight over him in an arena. Men are permitted to date other men & do not seperate from their boyfriends after marriage. It's common for they boyfriend to move in with the boyfriends & his wife with his own wife after he is married as well. Married couples get matching tattoos on their arms that can't be removed, thus making divorse impossible. Economy: All homes are appartments. All buildings are skyscrapers, cabochons cut to look like seashells are the currency, the only forms of transportation are maglevs (trains with tracks that run high above the streets), bullet trains, & subways. The islanders export exotic fruits & vegetables, but do not raise any livestock. All meat is imported. There are no drugs, smoking, or drinking. The buildings are all Green (economicly speaking). Recycling outproduces garbage, garbage is incinerated, toilets have a system that removes water & turns flushed contents into fertilizer, which is also exported. They also run cruise ships around Ociania. The people: The island is called Kabakona or Cabochon because of it's currency & resemblance to loose cluttered gemstones from an areal view. The island is a bit of a tourist attraction, but the travelers are always peeved when they discover that it's illegal to wear anything as skimpy as a swimsuit or trunks to the beach. The men are even less happy because to prevent sexual deiseases from spreading to locals, it's illegal for tourists to flirt or try & seduce locals. They have a few exhange programs with various countries. Crime: There are no jails. The punishment for all crimes varies from temporary deportation to permanent exile. Since Cabachonians are so different from the rest of the world & foreign men have a very bad reputation with the locals, parents use the threat of deportation to scare their kids into being good. Entertainment: Vary few movies from overseas ever make it to Cabochon because romance & sex are looked down upon as entertainment. They have their own lottle small island of the coast to use as a Hollywood. They listen to music in laguages they can't understand. Their own music has G-rated lyrics. Techno dance clubs are very common. There are miniature golf courses & game arcades; which are as close to casinos as they get. Religion: Sometimes they claim to have one warshipped warrior goddesses, but now they have no religion at all. Missionaries of any faith are not permitted.

Can I Sue My Job For Not Keeping Their Word? Do I Have A Strong Case? My employer is giving me the damn run around & it ain't fair!. First I work at TeleperformanceUSA in Utah and I've been there since I was 17. My manager approved for me to move to nightshift back in early August. It was approved and he even sent a confirmation email to my supervisor approving the move. Well 1 weeks ago I was doing my job (nightshift) and the nightime manager walks over to me and says you need to go home. I was like why? He said because your schedule move was not approved correctly and the person who approved it did not do it correctly. I told him it's October and why are you telling me this 2 months later? He says because it wasn't approved correctly therefore your move is not valid and starting tomorrow you have to work your original shift wich is 5:30 am to 10:30 am partime & if you fail to showup you get 3 occurances and we'll terminate you! I was like what!? you guys can't do this to me, i have transportation and life all perfectly organized with my schedule and there's no way you can just come over here and tell me boom your in next morning at 5 am!. He said well that's not my problem. You have a job to do and transportation is not our issue. So I was pissed like no other and stated to him if there was anything I could do to help myself out? He said no. So I was mad and walked over to the callcenter floor manager the top person in managment and I told her everything that was going on & I stated to her that this was not fair and it's a complete inconvinience for me, I've been here for 3yrs and what they can do to help me with my schedule. So then the nice lady does everything in her power to apporove my move and she gets shot down too. She says go home and tommorrow first thing in the morning come talk to me to see what can be done. So I go over there the next morning and yup bad news your move is not valid. So I argued and argued and played my side of the story letting her know that whoever messed up..it's not my fault and they have to keep their word and schedule that was approved and I had been working for quite some time already. She stated I'm really sorry but no. So I go "If I Can't get my schedule back Can I move To Another Department?" She said yeah for sure. So I follow the proper procedures and have the contract singed by my Supervior/Manager and Recruiter. I took the test passed it with flying colors and the recruiter gave a piece of paper wich showed me the date of the training and time. So I was good! For a moment I was happy because even though I got screwed over I found a solution and got the hell outta there before I got terminated for not being able to come in @ 5am....Now they just barely told me today..Oh were sorry the move was rejected! I was like why? well we need everyone we can get on the department were you are and we can't afford you to go anywhere else. I was like what? I got screwed for the second time in arrow. These people gave me a contract and they once again approved everything that I needed to make the move today & they come back and say nope. So evertime they approve something and everything is set to go forward and perfect they come back 2-3 days later saying no it's not going to happen. So I'm in this boat were I'm not hitting my hours I'm not working my shift and I'm eventually going to get fired because they got me working at 5am when for the past 3 months I was working 5pm at night..that's a 10 hour diffrence and they don't give a damn about their employees. It's not fair to me or all the hardwork I've done for them. Since I was 17 i was working for these ppl and now I'm 21 and they could care less about their word and what they tell me and approve for me, they always go back on it and reject me after the fact that it was already in writing and approved. So Now I'm stuck. I already spoke with HR and they are on the companies side. The lady in HR is trying to descalate the issue and trying to brainwash me that I can't win and they have corporate lawyers who will shoot this down asap. They don't give a damn about me because theyre pretty much telling me in other words If I don't like the schedule then leave and quit or go somewhere else...So HR is no help and my poor supervisor has done everything he can to help me out but he get's shot down too!....So I'm looking for a lawyer now. I'm sick of this crap. They've done this stuff to alot of people and similiar things and those people always quit or don't fight back at all. Similiar things have been done to me also in the recent past with paychecks and stuff & everyone never fights back..So now I've had it with TeleperformanceUSA..I'm looking for a lawyer and I don't know what to look for or what the type of case or topic I need to find on google or yellow pages. I'm gonna fight back. But Do I have a strong case against them? What Can I get these People For? Please Help Me!
Are poor Haitians eating mud so we can feel good about using Ethanol? PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) — It was lunchtime in one of Haiti's worst slums, and Charlene Dumas was eating mud. With food prices rising, Haiti's poorest can't afford even a daily plate of rice, and some take desperate measures to fill their bellies. Charlene, 16 with a 1-month-old son, has come to rely on a traditional Haitian remedy for hunger pangs: cookies made of dried yellow dirt from the country's central plateau. Food prices around the world have spiked because of higher oil prices, needed for fertilizer, irrigation and transportation. Prices for basic ingredients such as corn and wheat are also up sharply, and the increasing global demand for biofuels is pressuring food markets as well. The problem is particularly dire in the Caribbean, where island nations depend on imports and food prices are up 40 percent in places. Response from the ethanol lobby? "Let them eat dirt." I hope all of you "Green" folks appreciate what you are doing to the world's poor!
