Transportation from Orlando Airport to Disney (or Disney Area)? Are there shuttles between Orlando Airport (MCO) and Disney or the Disney area? Cost? Public bus? Cost of a cab? (I don't need to rent a car - my family lives in Kissimmee and I'm surprising them for Christmas). Looking to go cheap - Spent all my money on a last minute airfare & gifts for my niece and nephews. Thanks, but I'm not staying at Disney or on Disney property/hotels. I know Disney runs shuttles for their customers/guests, but if anyone knows non-Disney shuttles, I'd really appreciate it. Found some info on the public bus on www.golynx.com. (3.5 hr commute!! ouch, but only $6.... hmmmm) MEARS!!! WONDERFUL!! $20 & IT GETS ME 1.3 MILES FROM MOM & DAD'S HOUSE!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!

Free (or cheap) transportation to either Universal Studios or Disney World from hotels near airport? I know this is a long shot since the airport is not that close to the parks, but I am going on a cruise departing from Orlando, and was going to fly in a day early, stay at a hotel near the airport, and do a day in one of the many theme parks, but I will have no car and am paying quite enough as it is. Anyone know of any hotels near the airport that provide firstly a shuttle to/from the airport, and hopefully transportation to any of the parks?
Bus Transportation in Orlando Florida? Hello I am flying down to orlando the first week of July for my graduation and would like to go a day at the beach, however, it is about an hour away. I was wondering if anyone knew of a bus route that will take me to the nearest beach from my hotel or close to it ( The Orlando Airport Mariott)... or if there was a way i could even get to the nearest beach by taking multipule buses. I am too young to rent a car, and a taxi would be too expensive (about $100 one way!) if any one can help I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
What's the average cost of a shuttle from Orlando Airport (MCO) to Kissimmee area hotels? My family will be arriving at the airport in Orlando, Florida (MCO) and we'll need transportation from the airport to our hotel in Kissimmee. Just trying to figure out an estimate of how much it will cost. Probably looking at a minivan/shuttle type of thing as we are a family of 5. I know you don't need to reserve these in advance as they come to the airport on a regular rotating schedule like buses as I've done it before but it was many years ago. I have no clue whatsoever on how much I should be expecting to spend. Also, is it necessary to tip the driver in addition to the fare? Thanks for any input you can provide. Also, would it be cheaper to take a taxi?

(International Dr.) in Orlando-- We need to get to Royal Caribbean dock at Port Canaveral, hopefully cheaply; and then from Port Canaveral back to Orlando Airport 5 days later. What is the best mode of transportation around the Orlando Convention Center? I am staying at the Hilton Orlando on Destination Parkway and will be attending a 3 day event at the Orange County Convention Center. I thought that taking a cab to/from MCO airport would be sufficient, but wasn't sure if there was an easy way to get around to area restaurants. I just don't want to end up paying cab fees upwards of a $100 when I could have just rented a car... Any suggestions would be very helpful!

Transportation from Port Canaveral to MCO? I was hoping someone could give me a travel pointer. I need transportation from Port Canaveral to Orlando Airport. I only have a group of two, so I don't want a bus. Has anyone had good luck with any of the local shuttles? What is the cheapest/least stressful way to travel? The cruise company does offer transfers, but it costs 35/person each way so that's 140 total. Also, in my experience, they wait to fill up an entire bus and I would rather not be on someone else's schedule.
Orlando International Airport Transfers? We would like to arrange stretch limousine transportation from MCO to the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes. There will be two passengers in the limousine and we will arrive at around 10 O'Clock. What company is most advisable for our needs?

Transportation in Orlando? I'm going to UCF for a convention. I'm not yet 25, so I cannot rent a car. I'm not 21 either, so that's completely out of the question. I took a cab from the airport last time and the price ran me about $60 (jesus, that's almost as much as my airline ticket) Since I'm not made of money, the next time I tried taking the LYNX bus instead. I took the LYNX bus and it literally took me 2.5 hours. Is there a better option that I don't know about?
Has anybody stayed at Regal Sun Resort in Disney World? I saw a price of $79/night for my family of 4 for next summer and that includes free breakfast for the kids. Has anyone stayed there? Do cruise packages include complimentary travel from airport to port? Here is a question I've posed multiple times, and in multiple ways to cruise companies. But all they do is spam me with specials and tell me to call in and talk to Agent Blahblah. I'm looking to book a cruise sometime in November. Are there any ports that offer complimentary/reduced bus fares from the airport? I'm seeing that it is $105 to get from Orlando to Port Canaveral. Also, if I were to purchase the complete package from you, with airfare, would transportation to Port Canaveral then be included? Thank you for your time! Can any of you cruisers tell me your experiences with getting from airport to port? (does not have to be Port Canaveral, though it would help)
I am flying into Orlando Florida but I am not renting a car. Is there a bus I can take from the airport? ? Times are hard right now and I already had these plans to take my children to Disney. I already had my condo booked and also my airfair. Now I am running into problems about getting around when I get there. I am unable to rent a car because without having full coverage insurance they charge you an arm and a leg to rent a car and take their insurance. My condo provides transportation to certain places but I am staying at a hotel my first night I get there and then the next day I am going to my condo. I need a ride to my hotel. I have two young children. Ages 1 and 3... Can I take a bus from the airport to the hotel in Kissimmee without car seats?
Transportation to Disney Cruise boarding, Port Canaveral? Which is the most economical way to get to the Disney Cruise boarding, port Canaveral from Orlando International Airport? We are 4 in our family and I have a quote from Disney motor coach from ORL to boarding for $69- per person. I find it quite expensive. Is it possible to rent a car and drop it there? I would appreciate any advise or previous experience. Thanks.
I need help planning an Orlando vacation.? I've asked a question previously about this and the answers were somewhat helpful. However, they were not completly what I was looking for. Does anyone know of any Orlando hotels that provide transportation to the MCO Airport & Universal for sure?? I would possibly need transportation to Disney as well, but we are going there for one day so I am not too concerned. That's probably another question I should ask...what transportation company is cheap to take to Disney world from my resort? I'm stressing out because we need to book soon. I need a nice place to stay...3 or even 4 star!!! I wanna relax! I really love how Expedia combines both Airfare and hotel rates together so that it's somewhat affordable. My price range for expedia alone would be no more than $430. Here's what I am looking for in a hotel: pool, 2 QUEEN size beds, shuttle to the airport and parks, maybe a comp breakfast (not requ'd), maybe a spa (not requ'd). It would also be nice to stay somewhere with a little cafe or something small in it to save some bucks. Are there any travel agents or Orlando experts in the house?? I'm feeling a little anxious with time restraints and all. I already hold discounts for theme parks, possible rental car services and Expedia. PLEASE HELP!
Best place to stay in Orlando? I am planning to visit Orlando next month around the long weekend (22-25). I am planning to visit 2 days for Disneyworld, 1 day for Seaworld and 1 day for Keneddy space center. I am not sure if I my plans are ok and if it is worth to visit these places or if I need to make some changes in this plan? My other question, is it advisable to rent a car in orlando? what about the traffic and parking conditions? In case if I dont have a car, what about the public transportation. I dont want to spend much time and money on these things. Your suggestions will be really very helpful for me to decide the things in better way. What is the place near by Orlando Intl Airport (MCO) and various attractions (Disney, Seaworld, Universal, Space center etc). What is the aveage cost of the hotel rooms. Basically I am looking for a room where I can take a bath and take good night sleep as most of the time I will be out so an average quality hotel should be fine. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. Thanks for the great answers. Its really helpful for me to plan my trip. Other things I wanted to know, I have only 4 days in hand. Can anyone guide how can I best utilise my time. I am planning to go to Disney, Seaworld and KSC. Not interesetd in Universal as recently I visited "Universal Studios Hollywood" in LA so dont think it will be very different. What do you suggest.
Using taxi with a toddler - do I need a booster seat? I'll be taking a taxi from Orlando Airport to one of the Disney Resorts with my 4-year old. I think he is just under 40lb. Do I need to worry about a booster seat for him (we use one in my car)? How do I make arrangements for that? Please note - taxi will be the transportation of choice. There are no buses to this particular resort.
Do you see illegal aliens working at any part of an airport as a security threat? Should every employee be checked by e-verify no matter what part of the airport or which company they hire to do business with? Since we have terrorist posing as other nationalities, how do we know we are secure if they are hiring illegal aliens? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Illegal immigrants busted at OIA Updated: Friday, 24 Jul 2009, 5:13 PM EDT Published : Friday, 24 Jul 2009, 4:15 PM EDT ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Nine illegal immigrants were busted at the Orlando International Airport Friday after they were found working in a secure area with nobody watching them. The Transportation Safety Administration got a tip that TSA employees were escorting non-badged construction workers to a secure area and not watching them. When federal investigators showed up they realized the workers were illegal immigrants from Honduras. The TSA escorts have security clearance and are suppose to escort unauthorized workers to the jobsite and remain with them the entire time they are working. The workers were in terminal late Thursday night working on the floors near the American Airlines gates. The US Customs and Border Protection would not released the names of the workers but FOX 35 did find out that six of the workers will be deported and two others will have hearings to decide if they were allowed to work here. The other is an illegal immigrant who has already been deported twice. The US Customs and Border Patrol calls him a criminal who was actually wearing an ankle monitoring system at the time. He was busted for DUI and is being held by authorities. Carolyn Fennell, the spokesperson for OIA, says they do not allow illegal immigrants to work at the airport and it wasn't a serious security threat because the workers did go through the security checkpoints to make sure they didn't have any weapons. Authorities are investigating who the contractor is and why he had illegals working for him. http://www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/news/orange_news/072409illegal_immigrants_busted_at_OIA
Disney's Magical Express Reviews? Hello there! I was wondering, have you ever done Disney's Magical Express transportation from the Orlando airport to Walt Disney World? I would like to see some peoples reviews! No, I'm not looking for tips. I've done it before. I'm just wondering what other people think of the service.
Does anyone know of a hotel in or near disney world? My boyfriend and I are going to Orlando, Florida to go to Disney and we want to stay near disney. But since there is no dirct connections from india to orlando, his plane will land at one of the new york city airport. Now can anybody guide me how to reach orlando from new york? What is the cheapest mode of transport? Are trains also available? if yes, Since orlando is far from new york, do we have sleeper class in trains? Traveling To Orland, FL...Need Info.? I am traveling to Orlando, FL for business and leisure in July 2008. If I were to take public transportation from Orlando Int'l Airport to Downtown which bus line is convenient? Being that is the weekend, I'd like to go to the gay discos/nightclubs as well, whereabouts is the "gay district" in Orlando? What is a recommended hotel to stay at, not-necessarily gay-friendly cause I can blend in easily with any environment? Being that my business is in the downtown area, I would still preferr to stay in the gay district. Any information would be fully appreciated. Thank you!
Help with best place to stay Disney World, June 12-19 - best activities? We already have a car rented to get from Orlando/Sanford airport and we couldn't pass up the price it costs to take this flight ($534 Round Trip for 3), so we have transportation. Now that we have a car for transportation anyway do you all still feel that it will still be worth it to stay on-site? I do understand why? My grandson just turned 4 and is in to trains big time - so is there anywhere that has the kids suite with a train set-up? I do want the kids activities as I do see a couple that he would really enjoy. Let's say even if we pick one of the most expensive places to stay - where would it be???? We only get to do this once so I want to make it good for all of us. I also want to take him to Sea World one day. What shall we do? Come on people, I know I asked another similar question but this one is quite different. I need help here as this trip there I want it be the best as the last one was a dud. Please, I could use all the help you can give me. Compared to the cost of on-site and off-site and then compare the costs of meals if on-site with the 40% off, free parking at the parks, which way is still the most economical and then which way would we most enjoy - especially for our 4 year old grandson no matter what the cost if we looked at it that way. I am considering the Contemporary Resort with a good view and that will not be cheap but will it be worth every penny?????? HELP????
Getting to UCF? Okay... I asked this question last week. I'm going to UCF to a convention, I'm 20, so I'm not of age to rent a car. So that is a problem. Last year, I took a cab, which ran me about 60 bucks each way from Orlando International Airport. That's like pretty much the price of my airline ticket, WAY TOO MUCH. The next time, I took the LYNX bus, which literally took me 2 hours to get from the airport to UCF, it's bearable, but it's two hours, almost as long as my 1000-mile flight. So I need alternate transportations to get there, do I have any other options? Someone suggested the Mears Shuttle, I checked the Mears Shuttle site, but I do not see a UCF stop, or somewhere close to UCF, so that does not seem to work. Someone also suggested paying a UCF student to drive me, but it would be difficult finding some random person on the internet "from UCF" to give me a ride there from the airport. Do I have any other options or how I can improve on one of these choices? I just checked the car rental, it's 150 dollars to rent the car for 2 days. Since I'm staying for 4 days, they'll be charging me 300 dollars. That would be more expensive that just taking the cab. But thanks for the heads up anyway. "Mears will take you to UCF, they'll probably charge you for the highest Zone Fare of $25 one way...they service Maitland and Winter Park which are equally as far. Good luck!" I'm looking at the Mears Shuttle reservation page right now, but I don't see a UCF stop
Do you think the airline was correct in making these passengers get off the plane? (link included)? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090102/ap_on_re_us/muslim_passengers_removed "WASHINGTON – Nine Muslim passengers were kicked off a flight from Washington, D.C., to Florida after other passengers reported hearing a suspicious remark about airplane security. AirTran Airways spokesman Tad Hutcheson called the incident on the New Year's Day flight from Reagan National Airport to Orlando, Fla., a misunderstanding, but defended the company's response. He said the airline followed federal rules and did nothing wrong. Irfan told the newspaper he thought he and the others were profiled because of their appearance. The men had beards and the women wore headscarves, traditional Muslim attire. The family was upset that AirTran didn't allow the Muslim passengers to book another flight. They eventually made it to their destination on a US Airways flight. Hutcheson said the passengers were given a full refund and are welcome to fly on AirTran now that the investigation is complete. Hutcheson and a federal Transportation Security Administration spokeswoman said the pilot was right to postpone the flight. "At the end of the day, people got on and made comments they shouldn't have made on the airplane, and other people heard them," Hutcheson said. "Other people heard them, misconstrued them. It just so happened these people were of Muslim faith and appearance. It escalated, it got out of hand and everyone took precautions." One of the passengers removed, Abdur Razack Aziz, said he will consider a lawsuit." Does it disturb you that they are considering suing Air Tran? Won't that make other airlines reluctant to deboard passengers that sound suspicious? Is that really fair? I copied only some of the aritcel, not all of it b/c it was really long, so please refer to the link above for the complete article
