Pain in different location after appendix removal? My husband just had his appendix taken out today laparascopically. He had it done early in the morning and was sent home about 12 hours later. He says he has pain in his lower abdomen from the surgery but says he also has pain in his upper stomach as well. I never had my appendix out so I don't know if this is normal. Is this typical after appendix removal or is this something to be concerned about? He is supposed to call his surgeon for a follow up appointment tomorrow morning but is this something that should be checked out sooner through the ER or something? Please no rude answers. How to write a book on a useless body part? Ok, here's my problem. My daughter has to write a 6 page book on the human Appendix for Science. She also has to make the book in the shape of the Appendix, no smaller than an 8x8. While the questions are fairly easy to find the answer, the problem is they are just 1-3 sentence answers! Ex: "Location in the body." - I found a paragraph containing about 3 sentences on this. Ex: "What the organ's function or purpose is." From everything I've been reading, it has no function. Ex: "What system the organ is a part of." Again, this is very simple to answer. How can we make this book into 6 pages when the organ she was given to write about has no function? I've looked up a lot of information and have only come up with 3 pages worth! Everything else I seem to come across is just repeating everything I've already gotten. And HOW can I make a book the shape of one when the actual size is only 4in long by a quarter of an inch wide! The book has to be a minimum of 8x8!

Appendix or what? Ok so i had diarrhea for 4 days and then it stopped and I started having pain in a place close to my appendix. I have had more than normal amount of gas. Has anyone gotten pregnant after a ruptured appendix? My appendix ruptured when I was 17 years old and had to have immediate surgery. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks afterwards bcos they were worried bout me not passing gas.. But I was wondering if anyone on TTC has gotten preggie years after a rutured appendix?? pain on right side by bladder? Hello, okay so this is weird. i had a slight gradual pressure thing going on..its on the right side of my body lower stomach...near the bladder and hip bone...in the appendix location. I went to the doctors a while back and he told me it isn't appendicitis, and did a urine test...nothing came back..he recommended i would go get a scan done...but i didn't..i saw two doctors..and they both said the same thing pretty much ( not appendicitis) i should mention this has been on going for about a year...and its gradual...its not intense pain, nor is it to the point where im in pain..its just uncomfortable..and i know its not normal..so, yes i am going to yahoo answers for a medical questions, and i pray for intelligent answers! thanks =) but wouldnt a kidney stone..hurt? i mean i heard that kidney stones move..this is just in one place, and its a very light pain that goes away..and comes back

Sharp constant pain on right side of body!? My 16 year old daughter has had sharp constant pain on the right side of her body just below the rib cage and a few inches to the right of the galbladder. It is not her appendix, galbladder, ovaries the location of the pain doesnt actually house any organs it is an empty space, it is very frustrating came home from the ER last night at 1am the dr's are puzzled not sure what it could be has anyone experienced anything like this?

Is this appendicitis or no? The lower right side of my stomach had been hurting all day, and I googled the location of the appendix and it is the exact area where it hurt. About 10 min ago, the pain all of the sudden went away, but I have a mild fever of 99.5. Is it my appendix, and might it come back? I'm going to work in an hour and I'm worried it's going to come back worse. Just realized it still hurts if I take a deep breath.

So I feel a pain when I'm close to my period, am I ovulating? So every month right before I start my period, there is always 2 or 3 days in a row where if I stretch out my body too quickly......even standing up quickly......I will get a sharp pain on one side or the other (usually my right side) that is down in the same general location of the appendix (but I know it's not my appendix since it happens on my left side at times as well. Is this when I'm ovulating? Cause it goes away right when I start my period and before I get any cramps. And again, it only happens if I straighten my body out whether it be me standing up, or stretching out when I'm lying down. Oh and does anyone know what and where the ovulation pains are at?

Do I Have Appendicitis? This question probably doesn't need to be asked, but today when i woke up (About 20Min's ago), i felt alright but then the lower right area under my stomach and near the hip started hurting badly... Ive always been paranoid about getting appendicitis... Should i be worried? Or was it maybe like, my bladder being full? Because i drank alot before i went to bed... Torii, the reason i didn't go straight to the hospital is i wanted to make sure if i had it or not before going up there and saying i need to be cut open... Is there any medical equipment that shows a narrowed intestine around the apendix? I am suffering with intestinal pain around my left lower bely for long years. I feel that there is something that blocked the free passage of food in that particular location(lower left bely). The pain is sever when I go to bed and awakens me in the middle of the night about 4:00AM. It always vomits me. But I couldn't n convince my doctors that there is something that blocked the free passage of waste about the location where my appendix is located. I have a sharp pain in my lower right abdominal area.? the pain comes and goes out of random but its not like it stays for a minute sometimes it stays for days in a row. the location is below my belly button, to the right. i thought it might have been caused by cramps (menstrual) but its not i am worried its my appendix but i thought the pain was to low to be that. i am going to the drs tomorrow, but i would like to try and give some ideas to the dr on what it could be. ~thanks for all the help

SHARP pain in my lower left hip area? I'm a female and 15, and this has been going on for the past five days. At first, my mom thought I may be ovulating, as the pain was close to where my left ovary is. We ruled our my appendix, because of its location. Why did god create make human body with so much flaws? If we were created in his image, shouldnt the human body be perfect? You might say that its perfect enough, but if you study anything that involves human anatomy, you will agree there are so many flaws. Here are just a 'few' 1. Vestigial organs (appendix, cecum, wisdom teeth, human tail) 2. Location of esophagus and trachea (causes people to choke when swallowing because our creator for some reason decided the food 'must' pass over the windpipe before being swallowed) 3. Pain in my right side? I have a pain in my right side of the stomach. Both my parents said its not my appendix because they pushed down and let go and it didn't hurt at all. My mom thinks i pulled a muscle because I've been exercising a lot lately, but because of the location of the pain I don't think it's a pulled muscle. The pain is between my belly button and right hip, directly next to my belly button but a bit lower. Any ideas what it could be? I'm really worried and they wont bring me to the doctors.

Appendicitis: Did I have it? About 2 and a half years ago, I developed a pain around my navel (as if it was being pulled from the inside), and a low fever. Over the course of a couple days, it moved to the area of my right kidney, and got REALLY painful. It would hurt with every cough, sneeze, or any sudden movement, I even had to bend a certain way to walk. Then one day, I woke up, and it was just gone, so I thought no more about it. Recently, a friend of mine was complaining of the same symptoms (exactly the same, location, movement, and fever), I told him it was nothing, it'd go away in time. His girlfriend dragged him to the hospital, were he was told his appendix had ruptured. He is now preparing for surgery... I've been told for most of my life that untreated appendicitis is a death sentence, which leads me to 2 possible conclusions. Either my friend was mis-diagnosed, or I somehow DID survive it, with just a couple weeks of blinding pain....

The pain still there when I pressing it. The location was near liver and right kidney. I wonder if it relate to appendix too. And recently I just lack of appetite and easy to feel nausea. I feel it for a years and wonder if it normal (painful at right abdomen).

Appendectomy surgery? I had my appendix taken out about 3 years ago and since then every time i stand up to fast i have a shooting pain in my right side in that location could this be because of a mistake during surgery?

Appendicitis or something else? Hi everyone - I have an ultrasound later but was wondering whether someone can shed some light onto what might be going on. I have a pain to the right of my belly button - feels like a bruise when I touch it but doesn't hurt any other time. I am fearing it might be my appendix. I do not have any fever, nausea, diarrhea or severe cramping but when I review the location of the pain online it is pretty spot on with where the appendix is. I am a woman PS - not sure if this matters.... So I went for the ultrasound....come to find out the doctor ordered it for my uterus/ovaries! She was thinking ovarian cyst. Well I DO have one on the right side but do not think its the culprit. I asked the technician to look at my appendix - she said you rarely see them on an ultrasound and when I showed her the area - she said that she didn't think it was appendix. UGH! I am so worried though because now I do not know for sure. Doctor says she would hate to send me for a CT scan unnecessarily as she doesn't think the symptoms really match up and are that severe. I am leaving the country on Thursday and REALLY hope it is not my appendix!!!!!!!!

Is This a Violation of the Family Medical Leave Act? My brother received a promotion several weeks ago. He works at a restaurant that is part of a regional chain of restaurants. About ten days after he received his promotion he had to be rushed into emergency surgery to remove his appendix. The doctor did not clear him to work after surgery for about two weeks. During that time his employer demoted my brother and gave the position to another employee. The employer told my brother he was demoted because he was absent from work for two weeks. The employer was aware the absence was for medical reasons. My brother has been working for this restaurant for over a year, usually about 50 hours a week. This particular restaurant location does not employ 50 or more employees. This particular chain has dozens of locations throughout the region, but the next closest location to my brother's work site is more than 100 miles away. The employer does employ hundreds employees, but the employees are scattered across numerous restaurant locations in about a half dozen states. No one restaurant employs more than 50 employees. Testicle question, cancer? Give me all your help, please!? Okay here is the story. I have already been to my GP and have a urologist apt. tomorrow. Here is my situation. I have a pretty hard, painless lump located at the very top of my testicle, just next to the epididymis. It's about the size of a pea and I am 99.9% sure it is connected to my actual testicle. It does not move at all. Now, my GP said he is 90% it's a cyst, but sent me for an ultra sound just incase. I feel like i'm 90% sure its cancer. This is because all the cysts i read about (spermatocele,epididymal, etc) say that should NOT feel connected to my actual testicle, and should move a little. ONE site I found that seemed pretty reliable said that spermatocele can be attaced. However, I also ready that if it's cancer almost all of the time you find the lump on the side and sometime the front of the testicle. To me this sounds like cancer all the way. hard pea sized painless lump coming from the actual testicle. Only thing is it's in the right place for a cyst. One thing i feel like it could MAYBE be is i'm feeling my appendix of the testis, which from what I read, is in that exact location, but I'm not sure if it would show up as a lump like that. I've looked up EVERYTHING on the internet. I dont think there is anything else I can look up. So can ANYONE please say what you think it might be based on some experience?? Have you had something like this, what was it?? any info would be great!

What does it mean to have tonsillitis AND appendicitis? The last year I've experienced night sweets on and off, and about nine months ago I finally checked what could be causing them, and I noticed that lymphatic complications could. I realized that the swollen lump in my right neck what a swollen lymph node, and when i felt around I found one in the back of my neck too. I talked to my Dr. cause I was concerned, but he just suggested waiting and watching. Seven months later- he kept suggesting the same thing, even tho the lymph nodes were still present. About a month ago my tonsils started swelling. I don't have a cold or cough, but they're just swollen and not subsiding. This past week I also realized I was having a pain in my pelvic region and even testicles at times (whenever I moved suddenly). When i was running I got a strong side ache localized in my right lower abdomen, and looked it up and realized it's probably my appendix. I felt in the area (I'm pretty thin) and could feel a hardened mass that definitely isn't mirrored on my left side (same location as the pain when i was running). Is my body trying to tell me something? Neither are too bad (like cases where tonsils and appendix are removed), but they're both being effected by something. Any info would help!

Driveway accident - my driveway, other person driving too fast? I live in a student house. We have a longish driveway that is narrow between the houses and expands out into the backyard, which our neighbors use to park their cars in their backyards. My one housemate had a car and I have a car, my other 3 housemates have no cars. There is room for about 4 cars in the back 2 and 2 in a right angle if you know what I mean (2 parallel to the fence (neighbors backyard) and 2 perpendicular to the fence (our backyard)). There are the two neighbor cars and there were my housemates and mine perpendicular to the fence. My housemate with a car was home in his home city for the weekend and the one neighbor was parked parallel to the fence (fence is parallel to the road). Therefore I knew that no cars should be moving. I was sitting in my car reading the directions to the location I was going to be driving with my brakes on. I then looked behind me and saw nothing behind me in the driveway, so I looked over my left shoulder to see the tree and the parked yellow car and fence (I was turning around so that I could drive out to the road forwards). I turned/backed up looking over my left shoulder at the tree and parked car to back into the space between the tree and parked car, and my housemate's friend drove his car from the street right behind my car right into my blindspot (basically from the right) right into position almost blocking the location I was pulling into and they collided (back right corner of my car and the front right/passenger side of his car. Apparently he had been driving fast down the driveway and tried to honk to let me know he was going to pass into the parking spot beside me, but he didn't know the horn was a button not the middle of the wheel (it was his brother in laws car he was borrowing). I got out and started crying, but my car was completely fine, his car was a little dented. I got all mad because no one else is supposed to park back there, and he said that he had asked my housemate (one who has no car and therefore really shouldn't give anyone permission to use my parking space and she should have told the ones with cars that she had given out this permission). I didn't know whether to be mad at him or my housemate. He said he knew my number. I got home from the study session I was attending and I wrote everything down and a diagram but I never heard from him. I have seen him around at parties but he hasn't said one word to me. I never admitted fault and he practically did by saying that he saw me backing up and thought I was going to go straight so he tried to pull beside me fast. He really should have slowed down so that I had seen him once he saw that I had my brakes on and then reverse lights. Anyways just tonight I was talking to my one housemate about my friend who owes me money for a textbook he took from my room while I was in hospital for my appendix, and she asked if I had ever paid "mr.x" and I said "pay him for what" and she said "hitting his car". I was shocked that this was an issue and that he had expected me to pay for anything. I exclaimed that he never contacted me and he had admitted fault, then she just shrugged and I left because I feel like they all take his side - but no one was there and no one had told me that he would be using our driveway. I am moving out of this house because when I was in the hospital they asked this guy to come live with us next year and I still feel tension from this guy. Anyways does anyone know the legality of the situation? Was he technically trespassing? I was backing up and turning but he drove forwards into my blindspot fast and I was paying attention to the other cars and obstacles in my own driveway. I am in Ontario Canada. Lower abdominal pain for 5 years. Drs don't know what is wrong.? I am a 25 year old female that has been in pain for 5 years. Drs have done ultrasounds, x-rays, and blood tests and still don't know what is wrong with me. I've been to 3 different drs and first assumption is appendix but because I have been in pain for 5 years it is ruled out. I have never smoked, drank, or done other drugs. The pain started after having a normal vaginal birth with my daughter. I am currently 19 weeks pregnant with my second child. In the early pregnancy the pain seemed to fade until recently when it went back to normal just in a different location. I only feel the pain when pressure is applied. The pain is to the right of my belly button and seems about the size of baseball. After a dr pushes on it the pain last for about 24 hours without being touched. It feels like a horrible bruise. When pushed hard it is a stabbing pain. During an ultrasound when the tool was pressed in that spot is caused horrible pain. There was a large blob which the ultrasound technician listed as bowel with a question mark after it. I am not usually constipated. I also have had a colonoscopy because my sister and dad had precancerous polyps in the colon. My uncle died suddenly of colon cancer. Everything was completely normal with my colon. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't want the problem to harm my baby. I eat relatively healthy and frequently walk/jog 3 miles 5 times week. I am technically considered obese 200lb and 5'5". However no matter how much exercise and diet I don't lose more than 15 lbs. Before pregnancy I was a 1200 calorie diet with a minimum of 3 miles a day 6 days a week and weight lifting for over a year and got down to 185lbs. My blood pressure is 130/65.

Stress Level 1-10 : ....low to mid hundreds I recently found out I have high blood pressure and type 2 diebeties. Never before until about a week ago did I ever start having chest pains. At first it was just a dull pain that made me more aware of my heart. After a week now it's been getting worse. I've been getting dizzy and my body temperature feels like it's rising when it happens. I start to sweat even if I'm in a cool environment. I was awoken this morning to a violent popping sensation in my upper left chest. It was enough to make me involuntarily shout in pain and jump out of bed. I walked around for a bit trying to feel for an irregular heart beat. It was definitely a faster beat but didn't seem to be sporadic. The beats seem to be regular but there is still a dull crushing pain and I am still not having an easy time breathing. On top of that the left side of my neck is sore and I do have numbness and dull pain in both arms and all the way down to my fingers. There is also a weird metallic taste in my mouth. I don't think it's acid reflux because there is no burning. The chest pain location is the only thing that seems to be inconsistent. Sometimes the pain is in the upper left a few inches above the nipple and sometimes in the upper right. The most frequent pain seems to occur in the lower left just under the pectoral muscle. But than other times it's dead center. This morning was the first time I felt that REALLY painful popping sensation. It felt like my heart pumped a damn golf ball through it. Yes I know my current lifestyle makes me the perfect candidate for a heart attack so I don't need a lecture on that. I'm going to change my ways. I'm just hoping what I've been experiencing this last week might be something non-lethal. I don't have a regular doctor OR ANY insurance....Or source of income or any family that could help me to pay for it. So don't dis my reluctance to call an ambulance right now. My last trip to the ER left me with a 15,000 bill to find out nothing was wrong. I had had severe pains in the "appendix" area of my lower abdomen and thought it was about to burst. So I went to the ER and they did an ultrasound and a few other tests. They found nothing wrong. That was about 6 months ago and that was when they told me I have type 2 diebeties and high blood pressure. Not sure that info was worth the debt!!!! But at least I know now. Do you think i should be worried with appendicitis? Please note i am very stressed and have very high anxiety.My roommate died a little while ago. My lower right ab has been sore for like 5 days and my lower right back(not my kidney lower than that) I went to the doctor and he said dont worry its not appendicitis. But i never had a ct scan he said there is no point. But now its been 3 more days in its still sore. When i do the rebound test i push on my right side and it hurts a little lets say scale of 1-10 10 being worst its a 3. Then i release abruptly and its like a 1 1/2 pain in a pinpoint location barely hurts at all just annoying. when i push extra hard on my left ab i can feel a tiny bit of pain on my right ab and when i release it i can feel a little pain also like a 2 of out 10 on my right side. It hurts more when i do the rebound test standing up but only a little bit more. I am a hypochondriac been to the doctor for my lungs heart and brain in the past 2 months now this. I have no nausea i am still hungry and no fever. It only hurts a 1 out of ten if i am just going on doing normal stuff without pressure on it. Also i can jump on my right leg and land on my heel and it does not hurt. Could my appendix already ruptured or is it in the process? Or mabey it just sore b/c i am always trying the rebound test to assure myself i have nothing

Stabbing right side pain and more symptoms.....? Okay, i will start off listing my symptoms, and then i will give a little more information about myself and what i have suspected. I will be going to a Dr., but i this has been driving me crazy and i want to see other people's ideas of what it could be. Symptoms: -Sharp pain at the very bottom of my right side, like near my hip bone. It is extremely sharp and it sometimes moves to the bottom of my stomach. The pain seems to get worse if i lay on my stomach or on my right side. it also gets worse if i have been sleeping, and my legs are curled up to me, when i straighten them, it is an extremely sharp pain.(That feeling only happens on the mornings i wake up with this pain, not every day) -Last week when i had this pain i started dripping sweat and shaking, i also got very hot(which had never happened before and hasn't happened again) -Nausea(Again, that happened last week, but not this time and not the time before) -When i lay down, i hear my stomach making a lot of crazy grumbling noises -Gassy and it seems to make me go number two a lot(gross, sorry) -a dull leg pain(i am not sure if it is associated with this or if it is just a coincidence that i have this side pain at the same time)The dull pain is at the top of my right leg, where your thigh bones meet your torso. It isn't a bad pain, it actually feels like there is a bone out of place and it just needs to crack to feel better. I wake up with this sharp pain, it is really bad when i first get it, and throughout the day, it starts getting better. It doesn't necessarily happen in the morning, because today i woke up around 9 and when i was completely fine, went to church, came home and ate breakfast, and i took a nap. When i woke up from the nap, around 3pm, is when I got the pain. I will end up having a dull pain in the same area for a random amount of days after, sometimes 2 days, sometimes about 5 days after the initial pain. The pain happened about a month ago, and it was really bad for one day, and it ended up going away completely a week later. I get the pain when i wake up. It never happens in the middle of the day or night, i usually am in bed and i feel it when i wake up. It starts out as a very sharp, stabbing pain in my side, hurting worse when bending over, when my right leg goes down the steps, etc . I have this pain today, when i woke up i got it, i had it last week, and i had it about 2-3 weeks before that. Last week it was the worse it had ever been. At first, i thought maybe an ovarian cyst had ruptured because of the location of the pain, and because i had been diagnosed with ovarian cysts quite a few years ago(i am not even sure if i still have them, so i was just guessing). I looked it up on the internet, and i had some of the symptoms, but not many, and there was no blood at all. My mom said maybe it was gastritis, my dad thought maybe appendix. Last week when it was really bad, i was in so much pain that i had never felt before, i was going to go to the ER. I ended up not going because i started feeling better and i figured i could just go to a stomach doctor instead of dealing with the chaos in the ER. I have tried taking Tylenol, which helps the dull pain but not when the pain is sharp and stabbing. I also tried thinking that maybe it still was a cyst issue, and i took extra strength Midol, which eased up the dull pain again, but doesn't help the sharp pain at all. So, since i haven't seen my doctor yet, what does everybody think that this could be? It has been driving me mad, just trying to find an idea of what it could be. Thank you!!

does she like me as a friend or potential date? no need to read all...? do you think she likes me? we've been studying alot. we used to tease each other constantly and still do but not as much. i think stress from school has played a factor but cant know for sure... i know she cares for me and got mad at me when i told her i nearly fell asleep when driving home from school. girl i like... she no longer calls me pet names and now just calls me by my name for most part. however she had suggested we go get desert after finals. and then other day she saw picture of delicious food on friends facebook and was like oh that looks good... ive never been there.. then i was like lets go and she smiled and say yeah. unfortunately 6-7 weeks ago she had appendicitis and had her appendix taken out, but after it had ruptured and infected her system. shes been busy with school and stubborn so hasnt gone in for post surgery apptment. the other day her belly had acted up in what i thought would be her first week of being able to walk normal again. so now she may cancel those dates... and has scheduled to go in a few days after finals which would be after what was suppose to be our hangouts... background info: ive known for about 2 years now. been talking alot with intent of trying to date her for past two months. she had appendicitus so that sort of interfered with my plans but gave me a excuse to try help her around. we are taking summer classes together and basically study together everyday. if shes not with me she'll be by herself on campus even though she sort of know some guys on campus but dont hang with them. earlier in summer she invited me to her lil brothers birthday party and said her grandma would love me (im well mannered) but then backed off saying it was a fam thing and would be wierd. i invited her to a wedding dinner she said yes then backed off cause she said she didnt want to ask off work after taking 5 weeks off. we have finals next week and she suggested we go get some desert after finals.. today i suggested we go study at a cofee shop so thats the plan... its not at a midpoint location rather than near campus. this will be the 2nd time we hanged together off campus.. the first time we went to see movies when she was in her last relationship (spring break).. she said she was uber bored so we decided to spontaneously go to movies.. iono if it was used to get her mind off of things... like 1-2 weeks later she ended things with her bf and said she wasnt hurt by it and was saying relationships are complicated.... a week ago she told me that they shouldve just stayed friends and it was a mistake on her part...also last week she told me about how she was treated in hs and jr high and mentioned her two boyfriends so i know she has had 4 boyfriends in all.... also someone i dated (i think; still unknown) started texting her to see if we were dating and she would show me this... and was just like i wanna know who this is....

What is it that im feeling? Okay, just a minute ago, i felt like a tightening near the location of the appendix -- if you were looking at me it would be bottom left). I felt my abdomen while this thing was happening, and i can tell you it hurt, and i was kinda freaking out for about 5 seconds until it stopped. And it was like a very tight lump, it didnt hurt to touch, but was about the size of a tennis ball. What is this?!?! Its gone now

Left abdomen pain, schocking pain when cough.? My mom has a histoy of abdominal problems. starts when she had a gastric bypass about 18 years ago. she's has had multiple bowel obstructions, multiple operations to fix them, shes had her gall bladder out, last year she was in the hospital for diverticulitis, masses in the liver, she had her appendix taken out at the same time. Shes on multiple medications for stomach problems, all these problems usually start out in the month of december.. I dont know if stress caues it but..its horrible to see her go through pain. This time its in the upper left abdomen and it hurts when she coughs. How much is my horse worth? (Yes, I have already asked this once, but I have more info on him and PICS!)? Hi there. I am wondering how much my gelding is worth because I may sell him this coming up Spring because I might have to get a smaller horse so my little sister can ride more, or may have to keep him and get another one. Information on my horse is below. Bandit is a non-registered Thoroughbred or Appendix gelding. He is 17.0 hh, 13.5 years old and is a flea-bitten grey horse. He is a well broke, beginner kids horse. He is very easy to catch, halters well, ties for hours, lets little kids groom him for hours, bathes well, trailers like a dream, bridles easily, farriers, etc. Bandit is broke to ride Western, English and bareback. I am not totally sure if he is broke to drive or not because I don't have the equipment. (I bought him from a auction market). Bandit has had a couple incidents. First of all, he has got cut up in wire last year but has been vet-checked and has healed up well. Second of all, he has stepped on a nail last August and has been vet checked. The vet says he will not be able to be ridden til Spring, but will heal properly because since we handled it well. (We gave him anti-biotics, spray that makes injuries heal faster, and a lot of dresser cream as well as Epson salt in warm water). Vet says he will recover for sure. Help reading my CT scan? Just so you know a little history I had hernia surgery 10 years ago on both sides of lower abdomen. I strarted having sever pain again 5 years later. It was off an on and so severe I threw up from the pain and location in lower abdomen. I convinced a surgeon to look and trim the netting if needed. That turned into an almost 7 hour surgery and required a 6" cut below my belly button because the previous repair came undone and wrapped around scar tissue and my muscle wall. I ended up with permanent nerve damage but have full mobility which I was told I would have lost had they not corrected it. Anyway I had been doing good on meds and careful lifting of anything heavy. Two weeks ago I got hit again out of the blue with the same pain and SEVERE nausea. I ended up in the ER to get fluids in me and so they could do a CT to make sure my appendix is ok which it appears to be. I am consulting another surgeon and got a copy of my CT but to me parts of it do not look right. Any ideas?

Strange lower right abdominal twitching sensation when I drink or eat, is this bad? I'm 24 and weigh 180lb and 6ft tall. I'm between average and skinny built. Anyways, I've been working out on my abs for a 3 months now off and on...but the last month I've been doing crunches just about every other day. I figure it's stress on the lower abs, and also I figure I might have weaken some organ by doing this. The accurate location would be maybe a half an inch or an inch below my belly button and maybe an inch or inch and a half across to the right; it's to the right of my appendix scar (I had them removed when I was a small boy). In addition this has happening for a week or two weeks now...there has been no pain yet, but I'm scared there will be. Should I see a doctor? What is this odd side ache? Not painful.? I've ruled out Appendicitis, since I would most likely be in pain and not posting this. I have this odd ache on my side... which seems to have gone to both sides. I tend to slouch when I sit, but when I straighten up, the ache feels different or goes away for a bit. I'm not sure of the exact location of the ache... It's where I guess my gallbladder is? Maybe that's giving me problems? It's not near the appendix area, since wouldn't that pain be a little more to the front? (And also PAINFUL, right? X.X) It just feels sore or something... It started last night randomly. Do I have appendicitis? (blah, blah filling character space)? My right side of my stomach hurts... a... LOT! Before my stomach in general just hurt. Now I can point out the exact location of the pain. I thought I had a gassy stomach ache last night but tonight I can feel pain. I have been sick for the last week. (been to the doc twice and going again soon) I've felt like throwing up twice. I have loss of appetite. And I get bad headaches every once in a while. can i possibly have appendicitis? my backs been hurting for about 3 days and for the past 2 days, i'm getting sharp pain by my appendix and it feels like a balloon. i have a 100.3 fever and a migraine. my appetite is less than average though. i've been to the er with a different pain in the same area, but a different location, and they only found a ovarian cyst on the other side and didn't even pay attention to the right side... so anyone knows what this is? my moms a nurse, but she just had injections and wont help me. i also know this isn't the flu, because i just got over swine flu last week. i am not pregnant.

Should I be worried? I'm 15 and for the last couple months I had been having abdominal pains... more on my side though. I went to a walk - in when they first started and was told it could be my appendix, strained abdominal wall, kidneys, ovaries, etc. It went away so I thought nothing of it. Then it came back. I ignored it for a bit and went to the doctor about a month ago. She said to wait to see what happens and see if it's still there for my next checkup at the end of June. NOW , then pain isn't as occasional, but last week my lymph nodes got swollen, and bruises started appearing on my hands out of nowhere. I was really tired so I thought I was just getting sick. But I didn't have any other symptoms of getting a cold or infection except I had a fever along with my legs being extremely itchy. The bruises are still there and my lymph nodes aren't as swollen. I've noticed that bruises I usually get don't go away quickly. Do you think I'm anemic? Or might have a type of lymphoma??? I'm really scared, I still don't feel like myself. My doctor is moving location and I'm trying to get in to see her but it's taking awhile.

I know they did, but how can I prove it? 5 or 6 years ago, my appendix ruptured and had to be removed immediately at a hospital in florida. Ever since then I haven't been able to pass gas down there or have a bowel movement without forcing it or removing it manually. Burping is the only way to release the gas. And it has to be done forcefully, by shifting my stomach around the scar under my navel. To make matters worse, my abdominal pains are getting unbearable. I get them when I strain to remove my bowel. After orgasms. And even worse, for no specific reason at all. I could be walking and Boom! The pain is worst than any menstrual cramp you could ever imagine. I've never been pregnant. And my gut tells me it's from the appendicitis, because the pain location is exact. I don't know what to do. To get rid of the pain, I have to force myself to burp, which helps a little. Take pain pills, And then wait about 10 to 20 minutes until it goes away. Please help me my pain has reached a new record of 2 and a half hours with burping, pills and tea. It was so bad I couldn't even sleep it off. I'm so tired of tip toeing around this issue!

Could I possibly have appendicitis? So Saturday night, I had this dull pain to my left of my right hip bone when I moved certain ways. I thought it could maybe be that I did something to one of my muscles and just went to bed. Then I got up the next morning (today..Sunday) and the pain was a little worse. It’s bearable so I still didn’t think anything of it. When I saw my mom, I told her that it hurt more. She said it was one of three things-cramps saying I'm going to get my period, some kinda pregnancy, or my appendix about to rupture. Well, 1.i know what my cramps feel like and that’s not it and 2.there is no way I'm pregnant. So now I'm nervous that I have appendicitis. I don’t like to go to the doctors or even admit that I'm hurt..I like to tough things out so I wont go unless it gets real bad. hat is The Importance of Salat prayer in islam? Author : Shariffa Carlo When I was researching this, I was surprised to see how few sources we have which encourage salat and so many that instruct. Especially in light of the fact that so many of our brothers and sisters have abandoned the salat --- May Allah guide us all. Some of the greatest blessings imaginable are so simple yet we try so hard to make them so unattainable. Great rewards are the blessings that Allah has given us for various acts that we perform. The greatest of them all is the salat. Allah has enjoined on us five prayers a day. Simple, efficient, and packed with benefit, this small amount of time that we spend in remembrance of Allah, speaking to Him, seeking from Him, gaining from Him...this short time that we give to Him from the multitude of time He has given us is so tiny, yet so power-packed. Imagine the honor Allah has bestowed upon us by actually providing us with a time and a place for a private audience with Him. When we pray, we are actually talking to Allah who is listening to us and will, if we are sincere and humble in our supplications, grant us what we ask. Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, "A faithful believer while in prayer is speaking in private to his Lord..." Sahih Buykhari: Volume 1, Book 8, Number 405: Just the blessing and honor we get from reciting the Fatiha in our salat should be sufficient incentive for us, but the unfortunate truth is that it is not. Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Apostle (peace_be_upon_him) said: If anyone observes prayer in which he does not recite Umm al-Qur'an, it is deficient (he said this three times) and incomplete. It was said to AbuHurayrah: At times we are behind the Imam. He said: Recite it inwardly, for he had heard the Messenger of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) declare that Allah the Exalted had said: I have divided the prayer into two halves between Me and My servant, and My servant will receive what he asks for. When the servant says: Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the universe, Allah the Most High says: My servant has praised Me. And when he (the servant) says: The Most Compassionate, the Merciful, Allah the Most High says: My servant has lauded Me. When he (the servant) says: Master of the Day of Judgment, He remarks: My servant has glorified Me, and sometimes He will say: My servant entrusted (his affairs) to Me. When he (the worshipper) says: Thee do we worship and of Thee do we ask help, He (Allah) says: This is between Me and My servant, and My servant will receive what he asks for. Then, when he (the worshipper) says: Guide us to the straight path, the path of those to whom Thou hast been Gracious--not of those who have incurred Thy displeasure, nor of those who have gone astray, He (Allah) says: This is for My servant, and My servant will receive what he asks for. Sahih Muslim: Book 4, Number 0775. The immensity of this honor is mind-boggling if we really think about it in its reality. Reciting Quraan, the Words of Allah -- Speaking directly to Allah! Think about it in worldly terms. May of us are awe - struck by even the lowest of creatures on this earth. Some of us would literally be left speechless if we were to have an opportunity to meet with one of these kafir singers or some King or President, but we take our audience with Allah so casually that we sometimes have the audacity to blow it off. We don't even show up. Allah guide us!!!! Even though, Allah has promised us to accept the sincere prayers and to reward them : Allah says: And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then surely I am very near; I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls on Me, so they should answer My call and believe in Me that they may walk in the right way. 2:186 And: Those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers and regular charity, will have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. 2:277 And: But the firm in knowledge among them and the believers believe in what has been revealed to. you and what was revealed before you, and those who keep up prayers and those who give the poor-rate and the believers in Allah and the last day, these it is whom We will give a mighty reward. 004.162 Allah does not need us. We need Him. We must call upon Him to achieve in this life and the next. He is our Creator and our Master. Our Rabb (Lord) and our Malik (King). He is the one who deserves all the awe, fear, love, respect and reverence, but in our petty life-mindedness, we forget this or ignore it or, Allah forbid, disbelieve in it. Allah says: O you who believe! whoever from among you turns back from his religion, then Allah will bring a people, He shall love them and they shall love Him, lowly before the believers, mighty against the unbelievers, they shall strive hard in Allah's way and shall not fear the censure of any censurer; this is Allah's Face, He gives it to whom He pleases, and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing. Your (real) friends are (no less than) Allah, His Messenger, and the (fellowship of) believers,- those who establish regular prayers and regular charity, and they bow down humbly (in worship). 5:54-55 Does nothing affect us anymore or even faze us? Are our hearts and souls sealed so tightly? We must recognize the power and importance of the prayers. We must establish them, and we must seek the blessings which accompany them. Otherwise, we are beyond lost. Yet, instead of doing this, we are consistently calling upon that which has no true power to help us or hurt us. We give our awe and our respect to the Kings of the earth and devalue the King of the Worlds. How many of us -- out of fear or shame --- will remove our coverings or our beards because we fear losing an employment opportunity or fear jail? Too many of us have done it already. I have seen brothers and sisters leave their salat -- waiting till they arrive at their home -- after the prayer times have elapsed --- because they were at work or at school and/or they either did not want to be seen in public doing this thing or were afraid of their boss or their teacher's reaction or --- the silliest yet -- because the available locations were not up to their comfort standards. Ya Allah! How far has the Muslim fallen that we had a prophet who prostrated in the mud but his followers can not prostrate on cement or concrete instead of nice cushy carpet or sweet grass? When will we remember and adhere to the words of Allah? Say: Shall we call on that besides Allah, which does not benefit us nor harm us, and shall we be returned back on our heels after Allah has guided us, like him whom the Shaitans have made to fall down perplexed in the earth? He has companions who call him to the right way, (saying): Come to us. Say: Surely the guidance of Allah, that is the (true) guidance, and we are commanded that we should submit to the Lord of the worlds. And to establish worship and be dutiful to Him, and He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered. 6:71-72 and Every soul will taste of death. And ye will be paid on the Day of Resurrection only that which ye have fairly earned. Whoso is removed from the Fire and is made to enter paradise, he indeed is triumphant. The life of this world is but comfort of illusion. 3:185. Brothers and sisters, I beg you, for your own soul's sakes. Let us stop fearing social reactions. Let us stop following the ways of Shaytan. Let us stop worrying about our own comforts. Let us stop worshipping these things with our actions or inaction and let us return to worshipping, fearing and loving Allah. Allah has made it so easy for us to worship Him. If you can't do it standing, sit. If you can't do it sitting, lie down. If you can't move your trunk, move your head. If you can't move your head, move your eyes. If you can't move even your eyes, at least move your heart! I challenge anyone to find one other activity so blessed by Allah or man. Can you go to your employer for one hour a day and reap as much reward? Can you be a student for an hour a day and get such reward? What activity can you do that will give you so much for so little, and if this is not enough, to make it even easier, this hour --- this insignificant morsel of time --- is divided up into five periods over twenty-four hours. Subhana Allah! Allah is truly the Most Generous, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficent! You want more easy blessings? What about this? A man questioned his companions, "If there was a river at the door of anyone of you, and he took a bath in it five times a day would you notice any dirt on him?" They said, "Not a trace of dirt would be left. That is the example of the five prayers with which Allah blots out (annuls) evil deeds." This was narrated from our beloved Prophet by Abu Huraira: Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 10, Number 506: and: Narrated Uthman ibn Affan: I heard Allah's Apostle (peace_be_upon_him) say: When the time for a prescribed prayer comes, if any Muslim performs ablution well and offers his prayer) with humility and bowing, it will be an expiation for his past sins, so long as he has not committed a major sin; and this applies to for all times. Sahih Muslim: Book 2, Number 0441: What a blessing! Something so simple -- praying --- blots out every single one of the minor sins committed till we are as clean from our sins as a man who bathes five times a day is clean from the dirt. What more can we ask for? What greater ease is there in gaining the pleasure of Allah? Allah has commanded us to pray. The fear of burning forever in the hellfire should be enough to motivate us to perform this duty, but Allah, in His infinite Mercy and Justice has given us both the carrot and the stick. Don't pray, and He will punish you. Pray, and the blessings you get are beyond description: Paradise everlasting. Subhana Allah! One spot in paradise is worth all of this world and everything in it!!!! Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "A place in Paradise as small as a bow is better than all that on which the sun rises and sets (i.e. all the world)." He also said, "A single endeavor in Allah's Cause in the afternoon or in the forenoon is better than all that on which the sun rises and sets." Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 52, Number 51. Why so great a punishment and so great a reward? Because Allah created us for one purpose alone, to worship Him. Allah says, I created the jinn and man only that they might worship Me. 51:56 We are here only to worship Allah, not to get that perfect job, that house, that car, that man, that woman, that degree, that (fill in your own blank). We are the slaves of Allah. As such, we need to show our gratitude for the blessings He has bestowed on us. Can you see? Can you walk? Can you hear? Can you speak? Can you love? Can you work? Can you study? Can you feel? Choose a blessing, and show the proper gratitude. For the doctor who removes our appendix in the nick of time, we shower him with thanks. For the teacher who gave us the recommendation that got us into college, we are eternally grateful, but to Allah who gave us everything we have, we can not find the hour a day to thank Him? Where are our priorities? Don't get me wrong. Gratitude to the one who helps is part of the Islamic character: The prophet said "Those who are not grateful to the people are not grateful to Allah" (sahih) We have to be grateful to those who help us, but we can never forget that the greatest gratitude belongs to Allah. It is His right upon us! Narrated Mu'adh: I was a companion rider of the Prophet on a donkey called 'Ufair. The Prophet asked, "O Mu'adh! Do you know what Allah's right on His slaves is, and what the right of His slaves on Him is?" I replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." He said, "Allah's right on His slaves is that they should worship Him (Alone) and should not worship any besides Him. And slave's right on Allah is that He should not punish him who worships none besides Him." I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Should I not inform the people of this good news?" He said, "Do not inform them of it, lest they should depend on it (absolutely)." Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 52, Number 108. If all this, Paradise everlasting, is not enough, as a prize for our gratitude and our seeking of His pleasure, Allah has promised us the greatest of gifts: the more we attempt to reach Allah's Pleasure, the closer He will come to us. Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Allah says: 'I am just as My slave thinks I am, (i.e. I am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him) and I am with him if He remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they; and if he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.' " Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93, Number 502. Allah will come to us if we make even the smallest attempt to come to Him. Allah. Imagine that. Allah -- the Most Supreme, the One who needs us not, the One who Provides and needs no provision, the One who Gives Life and takes Life. Allah! He will come to us -- all we have to do is draw nearer to Him. Him! Yes, none other than Allah! Please. Take a second. Reflect on the magnitude of this. Really reflect on it. This is huge! This is the honor of honors. For the one who has no faith, there is no way to instill in him the immense blessing that is found in an audience with Allah. Here we are -- piddly humans, insignificant creatures who deserve neither Allah's forgiveness nor His favors, but rather we deserve His contempt because of all the evil we create. Yet, in spite of our unworthiness, in spite of the fact that we are so low in comparison to Him, Allah has promised to listen to, accept and respond to our prayers. Alhamdulillah rabi al Alamiin. La ilaha ila anta subhanak ini kuntu min adhaleemeen. (None has the right to be worshipped except you. How perfect you are. Verily I was among the wrongdoers). I can not emphasize this enough. Please! Think about it! Who is Allah?? He is the All Powerful, the All Mighty. Do we deserve such an honor? Do we even consider it an honor anymore? We had companions who were so awestruck by the magnitude of Allah's Mercy in listening to us that when they went to make salat, they almost fainted from the fear and awe at the thought of having an audience with Allah. But today, we have no time to keep our appointment with Allah. The job, the kids, the school, are all too important to neglect, but Allah --- He can wait. Authu billah! I seek refuge in Allah from Allah! May Allah guide those of us who can not find the time for Him. What a great loss they have cursed themselves with. Listen to this with your hearts. Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Angels keep on descending from and ascending to the Heaven in turn, some at night and some by daytime, and all of them assemble together at the time of the Fajr and 'Asr prayers. Then those who have stayed with you over-night, ascent unto Allah Who asks them, and He knows the answer better than they, "How have you left My slaves?" They reply, "We have left them praying as we found them praying." If anyone of you says "Amin" (during the Prayer at the end of the recitation of Surat-al-Faitiha), and the angels in Heaven say the same, and the two sayings coincide, all his past sins will be forgiven." Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54, Number 446. What will these angels say about us? "We left him/her watching TV, Allah, as we found him/her ?", "We left him/her chatting on the computer, Allah, as we found him/her ?", "We left him/her at his lucrative job, Allah, as we found him/her ?", "We left him/her sleeping, Allah, as we found him/her?", "We left him/her studying, Allah, as we found him/her?" or "We left him/her praying as we found him/her praying?" You decide how you want your case presented to Allah. My dear brothers and sisters: Al deenu naseeha (The religion is advice) and advice profits the believers, so I leave you with the following -- the greatest advice ever given, the words of Allah. Say: "My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your whole selves (to Him) at every time and place of prayer, and call upon Him, making your devotion sincere as in His sight: such as He created you in the beginning, so shall ye return." 7:029 And Say: "Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds: 6:162
