In Illinois, can I transport my child after having a beer? Or is it a zero tolerance law that says I can't? I am in a law class for college, and during one class a subject was brought up that someone thought there was a zero tolerance law for when you are transporting your children in the car. I have looked at the statutes of Illinois, and I am not seeing anything that specifically states that you can not have a beer and, as long as you are under the legal limit of .08, transport your children. Please reply with any helpful information you may have to this topic! Thanks! To all you people that are responding so crudely, #1 I am not saying that I am going to drive with my kid in the car, and #2 it is a question that I need to find the answer to. So unless you are helping me out in an educational way, please keep your dumb A$$ comments to yourself. I am simply wanting to know the law, not trying to see what I can get away with you dumb A$$es!!! By the way, this is a question as if I were 21 or older and transporting a child. Not if I were under 21 and obviously the Zero Tollerance law would be in effect anyway.

Futuristic Transit and transport methods in Fiction? Hello everyone, I am doing a term paper for a transportation policy and analysis class. My topic is: Futurists and Transit. I want to study forms of mass transit in fiction, and try to make a relation to what we could possibly see in our actual future. For instance: Robert Heinlein wrote a story where roads were converted into giant, fast conveyor belts, changing the landscape and how people moved around. In the movie version of Minority Report, people moved around in personal transport pods that ran on electricity - and ran up and down the sides of buildings. I've got a few more, but that's the idea. I could use some help with more examples. Mass transit or personal transport is fine. Thanks everyone!

I am currently writing an essay on Sweden's success in promoting sustainable transport...? I have included definitions, some theory as to how governments can create schemes to make sustainable transport successful and have talked about what Sweden has done in terms of generating demand for green cars, transport etc. Finally i have compared such scheme breifly to the UK and how the UK could learn from such developments. What i would like to know is what people (who understand this field) think should also be included in this essay to create a strong report. Such topic is not one of my strong points. Cheers
What would you do to reduce global warming? Scientists all the over the world mostly agree on one thing That Global warming is the sole reason for violent changes in climates for the past few years and for the foreseeable future. And we know that all the governments with americans leading the pack, would do nothing to stop it or even acknowledge it. What would you do or suggest so that we as a single human being can reduce the effect? As for me, I try and take the public transport whenever possible. Use Bicycle when I need to travel less than 2 kms. Reduce electricity consumption in my home to optimum levels. I would like to invite more suggestions on this topic.

using a budgie cage to transport parrot PLEASE HELP!!!!!!? My question is regarding transporting small to medium sized parrot(s)(like a cockatiel, pionus, conure or quacker). I have researched this topic and gotten a wide range of answers to I thought i would post here and see if I can figure this out. I have heard to transport in cardboard box (so bird is not scared and it's dark so they can't see anything), in a dog/cat carrier, small size (dark and safe but no perches), a special carrier open carrier with just a perch seatbelted down, riding on the shoulder, or using a bird carrier (perches, food and water containers etc.). Now I thought the best bet would be to use a bird carrier to I looked into different ones and found that they resembed VERY CLOSELY small budgie cages! I was wondering if using a small budgie cage to transport birds would be adequate because then they can look and see around and have a place to perch. WHAT DO YOU THINK!!!??!?!?!?!?!?!!??? Thanks for helping!
how could cars work on magnetic levitation? I am doing a project for school on other ways of transport than cars that use gas and oil. I once read in a book that was set in the future that they used magnetic levation to power hover cars. do you think this concept could work in real life. If we had a metal grid under all roads, and had a negative magnet under every car, then the cars could float. But how could they move forward and back? do you think it is a good idea or should i choose another topic?

What are the laws in the North East concerning transporting firewood? Since the Asian Long Horned Beetle was discovered, I know that laws have been passed to regulate the movement of lumber in the Northeast, particularly raw lumber. I need to know whether i can take fire wood, from the NY Catskill Mountains, into New York City without breaking the law. The distance is less than 100 miles and the damn bug could end up on my car at anytime over the weekend without the wood. I've looked everywhere and found nothing useful concerning the topic.

Electron Transport Chain and Oxidative phosphorylation? I have read on the 2 topics but I am still unsure of the process. For example, what comes first? After the TCA for example, Hydrogen is donated from NADH. In the ETC which takes place in the mitochondria there are complexes 1 - 4 which accept and donate Hydrogen - cytochrome oxidase uses molecular oxygen and the electrons + protons to make water. This is in one of the complexes, before complex 5 which is the ATPsynthase. I thought the H+ came out again during the ETC, to create a proton gradient which then drives ATP synthesis, so they come back in through Fo domain of the ATP synthase, causing a conformational change to the F1 domain thereby creating ATP. So my question is, if they are used by ctychrome oxidase to make water, which is one of the complexes before complex 5 - how do they manage to create the proton gradient and go into complex 5 for ATP synthesis? - Why is oxidative phosphorylation called that? - So the ETC is before Ox. Phosph? - What happens to the Hydrogen ions after they have been used to create ATP? - Is ATP synthesis and Water synthesis a simultaneous process? Which comes 1st, please explain. - So Water & C02 are made, is the C02 the one made in the TCA or is this in reference to somethign else?
history exam yesterday, are these right? (topics are before WW2, suffrage and civil rights in America)? i had an 8 mark essay question which was: Explain why Britain allowed Germany to ignore the Treaty of Versailles during the 1930's. My answer was - "Versailles Guilt" - World War One Memories - Public opinion was against acting on Germany - Lack of money - Lack of support- British empire wouldnt help, France was unstable, the USA was neutral - They followed the policy of appeasement And a 5 mark for the methods used by women to campaign for the vote 1900-1914: petitions, setting fire to postboxes and buildings, heckling politicians, hunger strikes in prison, breaking windows and not paying taxes The effects of Jim Crow laws on Black Americans- poor housing, worst jobs, couldn't vote or had barriers to voting eg the literacy tests, segregation at lunch counters/restaurants, segregation on transport, seperate education for black and white children, all this was made legal by Supreme Court "seperate but equal" ruling Are these right? Would i get the full marks for them? Thanks xxx

What makes you think of travel? I have a project based on it and at the moment just have to experiment. I have lots of ideas but thought I'd see if anyone had any great ideas that would get me thinking in other ways. I'm trying to focus on not such obvious topics as transport although if any great ideas to experiment on that topic came about I'd be willing to explore the idea. For example things I have done so far are things like rolling toilet rolls down some stairs taking lots of photos. I've painted a coin and let it keep rolling on a piece of paper to see what it lands on most and to get interesting lines as to where to coin has travelled around. Also things like footprints and a few other random ideas. If anyone has any genious ideas or other random topics to explore on the theme of travel I'd be extremely grateful :)

Edinburgh (UK): review? Hello! I've to do a report about Edinburgh and deal with transportation, culture, cost of living, safety,.. Some comments from people who have lived there could be interesting, especially about topics such as transportation (public transport=> efficient?/car=>traffic jam?), safety, ..quality of live in brief! If you have ever lived there, could you give me your opinion, do you think it's a good place to live (why?), what are the advantages and disavantages,...? Thanks in advance!
