I am going to MEPS tomorrow to join the air force. I am stuck between two jobs, Logistics,Electrical systems? I would like to know what would help me most out after life in the air force, and are either of these jobs good to be apart of? (anyone with good knowledge and experience please help) i already know what they do. Just want to know which would be more beneficial
Can anybody give me some info on logistics, engineering jobs in the marines? I'm interested in maybe a job in transportation, maintenance, or engineering. Is the General Engineering job in the Marines open to women or closed? Is there any other jobs that someone could recommend. I'm open to anything. How hard is it to find a logistics job in South Carolina? My husband worked for 6 years as a Logistics Broker (scheduled freight shipments and handled accounts) for a larger company that has just laid off. He made great money but we know that the economy is tough and the SC unemployment rate is high. The problem is that he thinks he's going to just land another job similar to his last or one that pays close to as much. While it wasn't my first choice for jobs I did find it appealing since it seems like it would have high promotion opportunities, and it seems like a very flexible job. What would you do about the jobs? I have been unhappy in my job (customer services) for some time now. I went for an interview where my Mum works which is 3 miles away from me,(my Mum is in a diff department totally though) and I got the job as Logistics administrator £14,000 going to £14,500 in 3 mths. Now the company where I am working now has offered my a role in the Logistics office here for £15,500 start? The company where I am now is ok and quite organised, it is 10 miles away from where I live. I know have the awkward decision to which job do I take. My Mum put in a good word for me at the other company, so she will get cross if I turn it down (and I have sent back the signed contract)????? And on the other hand here is more money, further away from home more wear and tear on my car more fuel? What would you go for? Serious answers only I am real stuck on this one! ????? Can anyone help me find a job in logistics overseas please? Dear people, I am a Britsh National living with my wife who is of south east asian nationality. I have been searching for employment overseas for 5 years now. I have even packed up left everything but found when I went looking the recession kicked in and I could not find anything. I am very experienced in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, import and export. I am very good at what I do but would be interested in any line of work that would suit my talents and obviously it has to be a country where my wife can follow. I am now working for an export trading house as the export manager and doing well but still have a very strong urge to work and live overseas. South East asia is a preference but I will consider anywhere outside the UK. I can not just pack up and leave like in the past as I have my wife to look after and could only leave if there were a good opportunity with prospects. Any advice is appreciated. Need HR person's advice regarding possible job offer logistics....? I am a final candidate for a job and was told this by the hiring manager. The HR manager told me they were about to send me an offer letter, but they needed one last signature. That was a week ago. They asked me to nail down a possible start date, which I did. Unfortunately, I am being asked to travel for my current workplace beyond the potential start date that I gave to the new company's HR manager. My question is this: Is it okay to email the HR manager and explain that I may have to start much later due to my current employment commitments?
