  1. www.firstbus.co.uk or www.stagecoach.com
  2. National Express operate throughout the UK... http://www.nationalexpress.com/
  3. For rail information go to www.nationalrail.co.uk For local bus information go to Traveline www.traveline.info
  4. You want the Traveline website. BUT, a word of warning. These days, the road passenger transport market is somewhat fragmented due to the privatisation of the bus industry. Take Glasgow to Aberdeen as an example. In the days of the nationalised Scottish Bus Group, it was possible to travel, easily, from Glasgow to Aberdeen by bus AND coach. You took a bus from Glasgow to St. Andrews (service 23), one from there to Dundee and then one from Dundee to Aberdeen. And, they each connected with each other! These days, between Glasgow and Aberdeen there is an hourly coach service provided by Megabus. BUT, if you do not want to travel on luxury coaches, then you need to do the following: First Glasgow service 27 from Glasgow to Stirling Pegasus service 47/47A from Stirling to Crieff Stagecoach Perth service 15 from Crieff to Perth Stagecoach Perth service 16 from Perth to Dundee Stagecoach Strathtay service 39 from Dundee to Montrose Stagecoach Bluebird service 101 from Montrose to Stonehaven Stagecoach Bluebird service 107/117/X7 from Stonehaven to Aberdeen
  5. www.transportdirect.info should give you a basic idea - but as its based on a very unreliable service called Traveline, I'd check with all the individual operators if you can. I actually spend a lot of time travelling around the UK by bus/train, so if you send me an e-mail through yahoo! answers ill be willing to try and help more!
