Location Transport

anybody know a site that gives instructions how to travel by public transport between 2 addresses in the USA?

transport for london does this sort of thing in england. if i want to travel from New York to anywhere upstate, is there something similar on the Web? i want to enter the start and end addresses and be given bus or train departures, changes, arrivals, closest to etc. thanks.

Amtrack call your them or use their web site, that's our train company,I've ridden train from Rochester to Albany and years ago my two younger sons were in school in the Berkshires, (what beautiful country that is) I took train from here to Springfield Ma.,every other week for two years, I can tell you the cities names between here and there and stops, the times no been too long, Roc, Syracuse,Utica, Rome, Schenectady, sure I just got a brain freeze forgot names of rest. any way Amtrack
