When is the London Mayor Election?
I live up North, but I cannot understand why folk in London have not got rid of Red Ken yet? Will this be your first chance ????????????? I'd vote for Borris the Philandering Toff Johnson & give Red Ken the boot, plus I'd ban cars, altogether in London - never mind congestion charges - what's the point of that ? The rich can pay. Either every one should ride a bike, take the bus, catch the train or walk or everyone should be allowed to drive in London - why punish folk for being poor. Why not let the poor in if driving cars worth less than say £800, for free and charge the rich toffs with new cars £30,000 hybrids £800 per day. That would be far and sensible? Why have you let Red Ken allow the toffs to drive, when he forces the working classes onto public transport?

- ask Boris 4 Mayor - he should know.
- The election is in May I expect Ken Livingstone will be re-elected; only around 20% of the electorate is likely to vote and they will mostly be elderly and disabled people who know Livingstone will preserve their free travel passes. I don't know how red Livingstone is - maybe a little red in the face after drinking too much at all those receptions and dinners he attends, but I think he's the least awful of several evils. Within the tight boundaries set for him by central government which set up the ludicrous private infrastructure for maintaining the Underground for example, he has done his best to improve the public transport system, and although it was a mistake to withdraw the world famous Routemaster bus with its conductors, at least there are vastly more buses operating. He has tried to work with the Police and crime has gone down. His great failure is that he's done little to alleviate the huge shortage of affordable housing in London for lower wage earners. Boris would be a disaster; the record of the Conservatives in London is that they consistantly cut services on the buses and Underground while raising fares hugely and spent virtually nothing on improving and renewing the Network.
