Information on a Silver cross pram?
I'm thinking about buying a Balmoral Silver Cross Pram they look a bit old fashioned but I like the old style. The only thing is I was wondering if anyone has one or knows of anyone that had them that has had problems with them. I'm also looking for opinions on them as to if it would be a good idea to get one or not? It will be used very regularly and I will be travelling via public transport and sometimes car. Thanks everyone

- Sorry to rain on your parade but everyone I know who buys one of those old fashioned baby prams says they wouldn't do it again, plus the chairty shops are coming down with them (what does that tell you. Silver cross though are probably the best make.
- They r absolutely gorgeous but i would imagine a bit big if u were trying to get on to bus or tube with it. silver cross do a new pram that changes into a buggy when baby gets bigger. i know it might not be what u want though. i don't know any one who has one though.
- personally, not my thing! i think there disgusting!!
- i have a silver cross pram which has been used before me by my mother and my grandmother always swore by silver cross they are a great company and i personally have never come across any problems with their products, i think they are the best made on the market but can be pretty costly but worth it they are comfortable for kids and also they are really good prams that i would say can do more than the one baby, only other company i like is mama and papa's but i swear by silver cross if i had a chose between mama and papa's i would choose silver cross! good luck
- these prams are still very popular.unfortunately they are not practical for buses or putting in the car.you can pay between 700 and 800 pound for them too. they are, without a doubt, the roll's royce of prams.we have customers who are foster parents and aside from buying new mattresses, have never had any problems with them even after 15/20 years.charity shops are very lucky when someone donates them, its not seen as old-fashioned at all, just not practical.have a good think before you spend money on one because you could regret it if you cant get it in an out of the car or on the bus. good luck
- i have heard that harrods do vintage silver cross prams but i would expect them to be pricey! hope this helps you in your search!
- i had 2 silver cross hard body prams for 4 of my children i loved them they were quite easy to collapse for the car but i used a pushchair when going by car most of the time andused the pram mainly for walks and putting baby to sleep in the house i am desperately trying to find another used one for my sixth child who has grown out of his mamas and papas pram which is too short for him now -he is only 9 mon ths old but i know a silver cross is roomy and very comfy
