  3. the towns in Scotland, the people are Scottish, the weather is 5hit, the food is edible, public transport is a bus, the shops sell various things...is that OK?
  4. I'm going to edinburgh this weekend actually!! From glasgow which is a much friendier place. The people are ok in edinburgh though. The weather is generally cold and probably rainy. About 10 degrees about now maybe mid twenties in summer can get very cold in winter. Loads of great restaurants in edinburgh try www.5pm.co.uk for ideas and reviews and good deals. The public transport is mainly buses and trains no underground network and apparently its a nightmare trying to get a taxi home late at night. Shopping is good but again glasgow is better for shopping. Loads od high street stores and of course harvey nicks.
  5. Edinburgh had more public transport than just a bus, Edinburgh doesn't have as many streetcars/trams as it once had. There were once over 150 miles of trams. But they ripped most of the tracks out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edinburgh
  6. Hi, Edinburgh is a great city with many interesting things to do and see. The people are typically Scottish, friendly and welcoming and proud of their city. Unfortunately the weather is not very good at any time of the year, this year we have had a winter-summer, nothing but rain- but don't let that put you off! Public transport is very good,it is a small city so only buses are needed although there are train stations. Shopping is also good with all major stores. Livingston designer outlet is half an hour away for real bargains. Come visit and see for yourself :-)

  10. Its the same as most UK cities but housing is more expensive and there is lots of students there. Glasgow is cheaper and friendlier.
