Is it legal, in Canada, to transport a sword from the mall to your home via public transit?

I'm getting my dad a Lord of the Rings sword for Christmas, and although I am old enough to buy it, I cannot drive. How am I going to get it home?

1. If it is wrapped in a box, who would know what it is. If it's not wrapped or in a box, you may run into some resistance from the driver.
2. the best -- is not to get it after all. however if u insist that it is "the gift" you want, you like and your dad wants...have it shipped...if it is legal to be sold...then the responsibility to deliver is left to the company that sells it... PS. since i took the time to write...i feel strongly that you indeed have other options - for a nice "gift" up to you to use....those options.
3. if your sword skills are good enough no one would be able to stop you.
