Location Transport

Hotel in Miami, May 2008?

Need hotel options in Miami for May 2008. On a tight budget so looking for something that is fairly decent and close to public transport system to be able to get around easily (and to get to food outlets). Planning on spending 1 day out at Sawgrass Mills (hoping to get there easily by bus/train - don't know the routes yet). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
