What are the Best suburbs to stay in Sydney ?

I plan to move to sydney and have 5 year old daughter who would have to join school. What are the best suburbs for me to stay in Sydney which have good schools , have reasonable public transport and are low crime zone areas ? Help me out on this Dudes :)

2. anywhere but the western suburbs! i grew up there, not good at all. stay on the east side! double bay the best area for everything!

4. The inner west - Strathfield to Newtown. I live at Summer Hill. Great restaurants, food, shopping, frequent trains and trendy, young, gay, lesbian people. Very friendly. Monica Trapaga has an antique store here. A few celebrities live here, too. Andrew Denton visits here, as does Judy davis, Marcia Hines and Gretel Killeen from Big Brother. Low crime rates, too....
5. the inner west suburbs are good like, balmain,leichhardt, petersham, summer hill, drummoyne, these suburbs all have good schools and good reliable transport. i have lived in the inner west all my life and i don't plan on leaving. if you want to know anything about these areas email me, i also know some things about the schools as i have been looking for my daughter as well.
