What is wheelchair access like in Sydney?
Is it easy to get around on public transport, in hotels, tourist attractions and on the city streets?

- Especially since the Olympics in 2000, infrastructure for people with physical disabilities is excellent. Trains - many stations have elevators, but you need to check the City Rail website. http://www.cityrail.nsw.gov.au/facilities/facilities.jsp Buses - Wheelchair access is available on a lot of buses, especially in the city. Taxis - You can request a wheelchair access taxi from any of the cab companies Hotels - All hotels should have access. If the hotel is old and didn't have to comply with access laws it may not have a lift or wode-enough doors. The streets in the city and kept well so you shouldn't have trouble.
