VW Transporter head problem!?

Hi there. I have found it impossible to get hold of a manual for an 'L' reg 1991 2.4 diesel VW Transporter van. My head gasket has blown and water is getting in the barrels. Does any one know the sequence and torque settings for the head? Any additional info would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1. The reason you torque the head is to make sure it is down flat and even. Because of the pressures it has to endure. If you can not find the torque specs for your engine. Find a manual for a similar engine and use the specifications out of that. You will be fine. Good luck.
