How long does standard shipping take when you order something online?

If I order two books from online. One shipped from CA and one shipped from MI. Is it possible that I can get both books by next week at the same time? What's the max of days for standard shipping? Can I tell the seller by what day I want the book to arrive?

1. I believe you cannot tell the seller what day you want the books to arrive, unless you pay extra shipping. Typically ground shipments can take anywhere from 1-5 days in transit, but you have to take into consideration 1-2 days of pulling and packing the item.
