How do I add shipping insurance on ebay?
I am selling some things on ebay but when I try to sell them either with optional shipping insurance or insurance that's included in the S&H, I have no idea how. Please help. Thanks.

- Are you planning to charge the rates USPS charges? If so, prices for insurance through the USPS (post office) are dependent upon what the final selling price / value is. They range from (domestic): Fee . . . . . . . . . . Insurance Coverage $1.65 ................ $0.01 to $50 $2.05 ................ $50.01 to $100 $2.45 ................ $100.01 to $200 $4.60 ................ $200.01 to $300 $5.50 ................ $300.01 to $400 $6.40 ................ $400.01 to $500 $7.30……………$500.01 to $600 $7.30 plus $0.90 per $100 or fraction thereof over $600 to $5,000. Depending on the value of the items that you sell, you can determine what shipping insurance to add. You can also make it mandatory (in your listing) and list the cost thereof. Or, take an average cost ($3) and add that to your S&H cost.
- Star gave you the rates, but I would add an additional $1-2 for your additional trouble of getting the insurance put on the package and then tracking it. In your eBay listing, put that the insurance is optional for a set price. Hopefully you have a good idea what the item will sell for in the end. If not, put in the cost scale that you will apply if they want the insurance. Good luck!
