Vw transporter 1999 brake warning lamp on...?

99 V LHD v-dub transporter, brake warning lamp been on, I changed the rear pads today as they were knackered! But, the warning lamp is still on! I have checked the wiring connecters, they seem fine, the pads were Ferodo rather than VW ones.... I have even connected my Snap-On Solus scanner to it, but no fault codes in ABS menu, and it cannot talk to the dash menu... Any help be appreciated!!!

1. sounds like incompatable wiring i have had this problem before you should use the old wires from the old breaks if they aren't worn or buy replacements, you could even phone up volkswagon and say that youbought volkswagon break pads but they didn't come with the wiring.Easy Clarkson
