is the Mercedes vito as bad as ive heard? is the VW transporter the better option?

2. Yes, have lot of trouble with ball joints etc. (ok if still in warranty) but wait for a few more answers.
3. Mercedes commercials are not as good as there passenger vehicle counterparts, it's true. But Volkswagen are also the same. It is hard to find a van as good as a compatible car. I like the Mercedes sprinter van as it is quick, reliable and pretty comfortable. A good van I think is the Toyota Hiace. Reliable if a little mundane.
4. I had not heard that it was bad. I think that the two vans are very different. In order to answer which is best for you we would need to know what the van will be used for.
5. I know a mechanic at a Mercedes Dealership and he told me last week as i was going to buy a Mercedes Vito that they break alot. His advice to me was to steer clear of the Vito. A VW Transporter would be a more reliable van aswel

7. i work for a hire company and i drive them all the time; personaly i dont like the drive of the veto compared to the volswagen. as far as maintenance im not sure
