how does dhl shipping work?

Shipping information had AUG ave. but dhl still shipped my package to the right place (Ogden Ave). Just curious as to how that worked out?

1. all shipping companies have software that can check addresses and zip codes...if something isn't right, they check till it spits out the correct info and the package is sent there...(there are only so many streets with the same names and addresses, in different states/countries, so they can find anything in a few mins.)
2. They might used a abbreviation for the street name. Also, your zip code and city name plus the number to your address, helped locate you. Sometimes.. they can make a mistake but it all works out..by searching your city,zip code, number address
3. maybe they tried the wrong address then checked the phone book
