Should I trust buyers request car shipping?

I am trying to sell my car online now, which worthes about $28000. Then, I got emails from buyers out side of my state, and they ask me to ship the car and they will pay the shipping and car in one check (certified check). This sounds too good to be true and I am worrying about the fidelity of the check. Is money order better? How could I trust them?

  1. get postal moner order..when u get it go to postoffice and have them look it over before u bank it
  2. Politely tell them to f*** off. This is a very, very common scam and it would be a waste of your time to even consider their offers. Don't even respond to their emails. If somebody already sent you a check hold onto it. Don't bother trying to cash it and just sell the car to someone else. If the fake buyer complains just offer to send the original check back.
  3. This is a scam... no one would pay you $28000 for a car sight unseen, then ask you to ship it (ship a car?). If they were serious, they would see you in person, have the car inspected and pick it up personally or with a flatbed truck and take it home... On top, an honest seller would have to sign ownership transfer papers exchange title etc prior to payment. with craigslist, i always require in person transactions, and no shipping.
  4. no its a scam.
  5. The answers you got so far are valid, you simply stay away from this type transaction. If your like many consumers receiving scam mail much comes from Nigeria about having millions in an account in America and need your help, it's sad but true people still fall for this scam. The auto industry shipping vehicle's is a new angle that's popped up in the last while with excellent success as the old scam is outdated, I would be interested to read your mail if you care to forward to my website address you will find on my website http://www.usedcartips.org/ as I am adding a web page about shipping vehicle's out of state or country
  6. Can You Read "THIS IS A SCAM".
