For shipping a second hand car from UK to India how much import duty do i have to pay?

What are the shipping options available to get the car in India. Documents involved in the whole process.

1. Tell me too if you find out. I wanna one day ship my 2004 Chevy Impala SS from the USA to India, if I finally decide to move there. Then again, India has Mercedes dealers in Calcutta, and Chevy and Ford and Vauxhall, so why the need to take something from a different country?

Hi Abu First of all check it out with Indian Customs to find out if you can import your car and how much duty you will be required to pay,you may need an import license and also you have to register your vehicle on arrival and pay any tax or insurance if required. You can always ship it back in a container on a cargo boat.look for a good shiping company .There are different shipping companies and have different rates.Good Luck
