  1. A power of attorney has nothing to do with a lawyer. It is simply a paper saying that you allow someone the legal power to sign in your place. Any notary can give you a POA. Just look under notary in the phone book and go to one. You will need the name of the person you are allowing to sign for you and it will look something like this: State City This day personally appeared (your name) and under oath swears or affirms that "( your POA's name ) has my permission to sign for me and handle any business that is required in the transaction of moving my (kind of car) from Baltimore to Hawaii. (You sign) (Notary signs) It is pretty easy. Just make sure you have your POA's name before you go to the notary.
  2. Get a lawyer.
