moving (shipping) car from US to Europe?
I need to transfer my car from USA to Europe. Has anyone done it before? Is it better to go with ocean cargo or air cargo? Can you recommend me any shipping company? Thanks

- It's going to depend on the country you are sending it to. For the US you will need to contact your local DMV office to get the forms to transfer the vehicle out of the country. Then you'll need to contact the local agency in the country you are taking it to to get the import forms to import it. As far as shipping, it will depend on how soon you will need it over there. Most cars as shipped by ocean freight which will take anywhere from 2-6 weeks. If you need it faster you will have to go by air, but air cargo will probably cost you more than the car is worth unless it's something like a lambo or bentley. Sorry can't be of more help, i've only dealt with importing a car not exporting one. good luck.
- I shipped a pick up before. for price to ship it depends on how much the car weighs and how big it is. It depends on when you need it at your destination. If you go by ship at least one month in advance, if by air it quicker but more expensive. My truck was about 2Gs to ship. Shipped it out of Baltimore. I hope this helped.
