How long does it usually take something for something from Japan to arrive in California via "EMS"?

I ordered something and he is shipping it via ems, how long will it take? i expect it to be shipping today, since it is morning there.

2. Depending when he ships, in 2-5 days, but you need to be there to sign for it. Hell of a way to commute, however.
