How do box a bike legally for UPS shipping w/o the original box?

How do box a bike legally for UPS shipping w/o the original box? I need your help! Please tell me where I can find those kind of boxes! Plus my bike is for professional racing, so should I take it to a store where they can box it? Thanx a lot guys!

1. your best bet would be to go to a bike shop and ask them for a old box.. they just throw them out anyway...good luck
2. Call around to some shops and see if they have any boxes around from new bikes, and whether they will give you one. Even better, see if they have a proper hard case you can rent. If you are going to be traveling a lot with your bike, especially a racing bike, you might want to consider purchasing a bike case anyway. It will really protect your bike and some airlines will even allow it as luggage, though you will have to pay a fee in most cases. If you are using a regular cardboard bike box and have not packed your bike before, your best bet is to have a shop do it for you. See if in the process, since you will have to pay them for it, if they will show you how to do it so you can do it yourself in the future. You really don't want to do it wrong and end up with a bent tube or wheel.
3. BIKE SHOP for the box ,you will have to take off the wheels handle bars, seat, pedals,fit it inside.
4. take it to your local bike shop and ask around. no need to lose an expensive bike.
