How would UPS calculate the shipping cost for a painting based on width and height?
I need to find a rate for shipping costs for a cart system. I've been to UPS' website and I couldn't find anything addressing the topic. ~MY SOLUTION~ I found that putting .2 inches was a good measurement for the height of the image. I'll update when the first transaction is made if I can.

- Go to UPS's website
- call your local ups
- It depends on if it's ground, or air shipping, but here's the general rules for shipments to locations in the USA: AIR: Multiply the Width" x Height" x Length" of your item AS PACKAGED. Always round UP to the next closest inch. Then, divide that result by 194. That is your "volume" (aka "dimensional") weight. You'll pay the shipping charge for whatever is higher, volume weight or actual weight. Example: Painting is 36" x 24" x 2" Volume weight would be (1728 / 194) = 9 If actual weight is less, you'd be charged for a 9 lbs. package. If more, you'll be charged for the actual weight. For GROUND shipments, you are only charged the volume weight IF the LxWxH calculation is more than 3' cubic feet (i.e. if LxWxH > 5184). Otherwise, you just pay for the actual weight. For international shipments, use the same air calculation, but divide the LxWxH calculation by 166, instead of 194.
