- eBay gives you the option to put a flat rate on it (very convenient, and I used to use it, but don't for the exact reason you already stated).... eBay also gives you the option to just attach a weight of an item. When I sell (and I'm no power seller...just a Mom who sells things we no longer need or use at home), I package the item up in the shiping container as I'm listing it. I weigh the entire container (you'll need a pretty accurate counter scale to do this with...not a bathroom scale!), and then put the weight on the listing. This way, when you tell the buyers HOW you will ship, it will calculate automatically for their location.
