where in California is it legal to build a home using multiple shipping containers?

assuming it's up to code in all respects and approved by an engineer, what counties permit it and what don't and is there a list for that?

1. It all depends on if you are in the city or county and some specific neighborhoods have restrictions... a lot of counties have none though. Meaning that you can do that in some places. I saw this guy on tv build a house out of garbage in upstate California.
