where can i buy a cheap shipping container u no the ones ships use?

I might buy shipping containers to build a house lol

1. Well, you wouldn't be the first. They're pretty cheap - about a grand apiece, I think. There's some cool applications on the Web.

3. Different people have different definitions of cheap. The containers on ships are called Sea Containers. Most of the cargo ports in the US sell used sea containers for $1000 to $5000 depending on size and condition. The only place I have seen them where I consider them cheap is at construction equipment auctions. Sometimes you can get them there for $400-$1000.
4. depends where your based, if in the UK go to a seaport where containers are stored, your be able to pick one up for around a grand, or maybe cheaper.
