If a shipping container is continually lifted by a single hook attached by 4 wires will this weaken container?
If a container has previously sustained roof damage, what could be a concern to me re safety.

- standard shipping containers have corner mounts for cables that are attached to the actual structure of the container. Unless you are using a non-standard 40' or 60' container, damage to the roof or top surface should not effect the lift, but may effect the ability for it to stack or have weight stress put upon it. make sure each wire is rated for the full weight of the container first though - that way you have added reliability, as well as the hook being rated for twice to 4x the total lift weight, and the support cable assembly also being rated for over 4-6x the max lift weight
