Container Shipping: Where should I put the label?

I'm gonna ship some stuffs and I have contacted a container shipping company. They said I had to put label on each box that includes information such as my name, address, and box number. I forgot to ask them where I should put the label. Should I put it on the top surface or one of the four sides? Thank you.

1. It doesn't really matter, it's just like mailing something. You should however write the info directly on the box with permanant marker and put the label over it. That way if the label comes off the info is still there.
