How to transport a car hood without a truck?

OK this is a stupid question! but i dont have access to a truck, i have a little civic hatchback and was wondering if theres a trick to transporting a hood of a car using my hatchback. for example, tying is to the top of my car? hahaha i dont know maybe someone knows a way. first response guy: how did you become a top contributor??? yes its me: did you freeway drive? third response guy : top contributors are OVERRATED!!! :P shutup bad seed

1. tie it to your back , and ride a motorcycle.. what could go wrong ? i answer a lot of questions correctly.. you my friend need to beg barrow or steel a truck
2. Use a roof rack. Tie the hood down well and cover it with a tarp. Tie the tarp down really well so that aerodynamically the wind will not get under the tarp or the hood. Travel slowly and check the tie downs after a few miles. I have hauled doors, windows, lumber, etc. this way when I did not have a truck.
3. Is priority mail out of the question? LOL Just kiddin.
