I work at a hospital as a transporter what can I do to advance?
I work at a hospital as a patient transporter I want to move up, be able to do more and possibly make more money. What certifications (or anything like that) can I get to help me advance?

- Attend college at night and study nursing, pay is good and nurses are in big demand.
- Most hospitals post job openings. Check it as often as you can. Go to the HumanResources Department tosee if anything that interest you is posted.
- If you want to stay in healthcare, many hospitals (not sure if your's does or not) pay for continuing education, as long as it's a degree, skill, certification, that they can use in their hospital. If your hospital doesn't offer that kind of program, or a tuition reimbursement, or paying for the education with a committment to come work for them for a certain amount of years, go to another that does. Or approach your administration about getting one. Nursing is a good field. Pays fairly decently, pretty much guarantees a job, and a whole lot of room for advancement and expansion. Hope that helps.
