What is needed to transport a car to the United States from another country?
How would i go about bringing a European car from like the UK...to here..what restrictions are there? European cars look cool..even the old ones look new here in the US.. OBVIOUSLY! i will have a company transport..i mean as far as papers..and the cars steering wheel will be on the left

- Alright u should either call Superman or Ironman to lift ur car over to the country u want.....if u need their numbers reply 2me.
- If the steering wheel is on the right side, i dont think thats legal over here. Plus the car has to pass US inspection before u can legally drive it. Its obvious that u would need either a boat or a plane to get it over here.
- Don't do it, not worth it. It will be a grey market vehicle. Meaning it will NOT pass any USA federal safety standards and it is against the law for any dealer to sell one, meaning it will have no value.
- Cars cannot be gray marketed (without US crash testing and emissions systems) here unless they're at least 25 years old. I'm not even sure how you do that, but there must be a way. So, if you import a car that's sold here in the US, you may be okay, but why bother. If it's not sold here, you won't be able to drive it unless it's 25 years old. The DMV won't give you tags for it.
