Location Transport

Where can I find companies that reasonably transport cars?

A friend in Washington D.C. sold me his car and I live in CT. My options were to either fly down, get it and drive back...or have a service transport it up. Due to gas prces, I am trying to have it shipped. Does anyone know of any reasonable car shipping companies? I only found one and the price was over $1000. Any help would be great! Thanks!

1. Vehicle Transporters are listed on E-bay Auction auto. sales section. A typical charge is most likely around $600- 800. for that distance. Check it out, though.
