When you transport a car with a Car Moving Company, can you put personal items such as clothing in your car?
Im moving out of state to go to school...Im sending my car with a moving company, but there is not much I can take on the airplane, so I was wondering if I can send clothing items in the truck of my car...

- Usualy they would prefere that you do not stuff the vehicle with personal belongings,,but if you do so,,dont expect the transport insurance to cover you for loss of items.
- Yes most companies would have no problem with that, they may not cover it on their insurance though.
- with the company's i have delt with no.. or if you do they are not liable for theft of these items. Depending on where you are moving or shiopping your car will be unprotected on an open trailer most of the time,,, sometimes truck drivers needs to rest.. and your baby will be outside with a reason to break in it
- Sure,. The trunk is locked, they don't need the key, so fill it up if you wish. Take pictures of your car from all angles just prior to shipping to document any damage that may occur to it in transit.
