Moving, how to transport car from one state to another without driving it?

hello, i am moving from south florida to pennsylvania. i can't drive 18 hours with my five year old. is their some wat to have my car towed to the state? or is there a train that could have your car on it as cargo? please help!

  1. rebel sure. put it on amtrak or pay some tow company. It's going to cost you big time. try getting a friend to drive it. make sure she is also is insured & buy her a plane tix back
  2. Look up in the phone book car transportation companies or freight companies. There are car haulers who can do this easily. You will pay by weight and mileage. Also you might try Freight forwarding companies. These schedual frieght for independent truckers, which is probably cheaper. You will need a loading dock on the other end. Getting a friend to drive and ticket back might be cheaper or you ride with them to take care of the little one. Good Luck

  4. You could look into UHaul.....I think if you rented a truck for your stuff that you could two the car behind....I've seen that on the highway and stuff. Or there's a train that you can put your car on.
