Compare San Francisco to Sydney, Australia, which is the bigger & better city & Why ?

I have a friend who lives in San Mateo CA, close to SFO, shes a United International flight attendant, met her in a bar in Sydney, Australia. I've been to SFO twice and loved it, but to me Sydney is still much, much better ! Better Harbour, Transport (although i liked the cable cars), both very similar cities in terms of landmarks, but its still Sydney for me, she can come here instead !

1. Well, as they say: There's no place like home. I would love to visit Australia, but I'd rather visit Cairns and Adelaide, Melbourne. But I would venture a guess that Sydney probably has nicer weather. San Francisco is a nice city, as you say. I've never visited either, but living in Houston, I'm hardly one to cast aspersions on either place.
2. SFO is the airport. San Francisco is only 49 square miles. Sydney is 895 square miles. San Francisco has 750,000 people. Sydney has over 3,935,000 people. I'm glad you like Sydney. I think SF is a better place to live.
3. I think Sydney is more similar to San Diego. Both have beautiful weather, recreation centered on the ocean and a casual vibe. San Francisco is more urban sophisticate, like NYC or Paris. Much more focus on fine restaurants and shopping. Both are great, just different.
4. San Francisco is 7 miles X 7 miles and it is a wonderful city Minus all the FREAKS that live there....
