Beaches in Orlando Florida?

I will be staying in a hotel on International Drive. Do not have a car, so would need to travel to the beach by public transport. Are there any beaches near there I'd be able to get to?

Public Comments

  1. The closest "real" beaches are about an hour or so drive. I dont know of any public transportation that would take you out there, but i suppose something could be arranged. It would certainly be cheaper to just rent a car though.
  2. I have no experience with this place, just know of it, but it's a start. Cocoa Beach Shuttle: http://www.cbshuttle.com/
  3. Orlando is inland so we really don't have beaches closeby. The closest is about 45min to an hour away.
  4. There are several lakes that have small beaches, but, not on International Drive. Wet N Wild would be as much if not more fun than the coastal beaches like Daytona or Cocoa which are an hour + away and you would need a car. Orlando is quite difficult to get around without a car.
