I need to fly from Orlando to Silicon Valley. Should I fly to San Jose, San Francisco or another Airport?
I can fly from Sanford or Orlando International Airport. Which airport (and airline) is the most convenient to reach Silicon Valley, CA....Mineta San Jose International, San Jose/Reid-Hillview of Santa Clara County, San Francisco International or Oakland International ? And what transport (e.g. cab, train, shuttle, hire car etc) is the cheapest solution to get from the Airport to the technology companies in Silicon Valley ?

- Definately San Jose and you should be able to catch the light rail to there
- san jose if you book through an airline like united they offer discounts on rental cars like avis and hertz
- Personally, I go for the non-stop flights. To only save a few bucks but have to layover and have a higher risk of losing bags is simply not worth the headache. I generally go United or American as they have more non-stop flights between city pairs. I would fly into San Francisco as you will have more choices and more options once you're there, i.e rental cars, hotels, and attractions. Don't forget the New England clam chowder in a sour dough bread bowl.
- If you're dealing with the tech companies in downtown San Jose, fly into SJC. You can use various methods of transportation and I've attached a link to the transit authority site. Also, if you're dealing with companies outside of SJ, you may be able to use BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). Good Luck and have a safe trip.
- You might want to fly Jet blue into oakland. I think it is the closest to the Menlo Park area.
