What is the best, cheapest company to use for cross country car transport?

- Do it yourself is cheapest.
- yes, do it yourself is always cheaper...Freds Towing, Lyndonville vermont...no idea on the phone number, call info??? good luck!!!
- I don't have a good recommendation but be very careful and don't necessarily get the cheapest.. I fired one transporter for not picking up my vehicle in California for transport to West Virginia. I hired another company and one of their drivers apparently notified a competitor and they picked up my vehicle. Not only did I have to pay for the transport for the actual transporter but the company I had a contract with took $100 from my credit card because I canceled the contract. The credit card company refused to refund my $100 so I filed a complaint against the transporter with the BBB in their home state. Check with the BBB in the transporter's home state before you make a contract. It's not cheaper to do it yourself. You'll be on the road almost a week eating in restaurants and sleeping in motels and you'll rack up a lot of expense not including gasoline.
