I have no car, what is the cheapest way to get to Torquay from London using public transport?
Public Comments
- Apex ticket on a train? Or National Express?
- Hitchhike. Can't get any cheaper than that.
- the bus
- Get arrested by police in Torquay for crime earlier commited in London. They will then transport you entirely at the cost of the taxpaying public to London for questioning regarding said crime. Cost to you on this particular journey = £0 Note: Subsequent costs may be incurred

- G'day Cimbarashe, Thanks for the question. Apparently, coach is the cheapest way to travel from London to Torquay. There is a regular direct coach service from London Victoria and Heathrow Airport, or you can connect to/from Stansted, Gatwick and Luton Airports. An adult return costs between £25-£45 depending on which airport is used, the date of booking(advanced bookings get a discount), and time of travel. A timetable for services is available here. http://www.riviera-english-school.com/newcoaches.htm You can book online at National Express. http://www.nationalexpress.com/ Unfortunately, the world famous Fawlty Towers with its unique style of customer service has closed down but there are plenty of other places to stay. :>) Hope that you have a great time on your trip. Regards
- probably national express, maybe about £26.00, not sure, or hitch hike
- train.. buy a saver ticket.. national rail enquires: 08457405060
- Cheapest single ticket travelling by train from London Paddington to Torquay is £13. This fare needs to be booked well in advance as they are subject to availability. Go to your local station for the best advice or try www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk
- Coach.
- National Express - a ticket from Bristol to London is £16 - they go nearly 20 times a day
- National Express coach (£22.50 one-way). Or possibly an apex train ticket (booked well in advance).
- Walk
