Two major events happen in the next 200 yrs, we harness fusion power, & create a transporter. What happens to.

religion. The world has all the free energy it needs, and anything can be moved instantly to wherever it's needed. Hunger ends. Poverty soon after that. Borders fall. Communication between humans is instantaneous. Social classes disappear. "Haves" and "have-nots" are a distant memory. Education is free to all. Life is no longer about work, but the improvement of the individual. The pursuit and creation of knowledge, art, music, literature, architecture, science, etc takes center stage. People are free to recreate and explore the world as they desire. Nature is revered. Outer space becomes the new frontier. What happens to gods and religions?

6. If China reaches the moon first, they'll become the new Saudi Arabia, and we'll all cling to religion even more. I'd really love for the US to get to the Moon and get their hands on all that Helium-3 first... Perhaps fusion might not be a totally positive advance.

10. Why would faith disappear? You're describing heaven on earth. Why would that make people stop believing? Most of the technology we have today was developed by people of faith.

15. so how do we earn a living? go back to being an agrarian society? assuming there's not already the technology to harness such power, do you really think the gov't would allow such a thing to happen? the revolution will begin soon, i do believe.
16. TRICK QUESTION! religion will cause massive wars and tear people apart. Everyone will nuke the heck out of everyone else, causing the earth to be uninhabitable, killing everyone. Therefore, these discoveries will not be made.
