Im thinking of shipping a large LCD tv from UK to Australia, how do I know what customs will charge?

I am already shipping some other items home as I have been living in London for 2 years. It is going to cost around £60 - £100 extra to ship the TV back. Do you think its worth it? How do customs work out what to charge? At the moment, 46-50" TVs in Australia still cost more than the UK - so I dont think its worth selling and re-buying. Has anyone actually done this already?
