- Only makes sense doesn't it? That's their job. Especially carrying hazardous waste.
- If an officer has your Driver's Liscense, s/he can run it at any time. If you have been pulled off for a random inspection, or have been pulled over, s/he must run your liscense. If you have any pending actions, or previous actions, they will be pulled up. Any further questions, and you can contact your local PD on their non-emergency phone line.
- yes he will run ur liscense, an he /she will check for all of the above. he/she may also xray and inspect ur t/t for safety reasons.they can look for drugs/ or anything that might jeperdise our homeland security with dogs, and/or other means, if hauling hazardous materials. i hope this helps. god bless
- Isn't that their job? Shouldn't they be allowed to ensure the right person is driving the truck?
- No, they do not have to run your license. At a routine check, they may just look at your license and your bill of lading and send you on your way. On the other hand, they may run your license, check your bol, weigh your truck, check the cargo seals, check your vehicle for safety violations and anything else they are legally allowed to check.
