Can I tow my 4x4 2002 pathfinder with a U-Haul auto transporter?
I want to tow my 2002 4x4 pathfinder behind a U-Haul truck and auto transporter. U-Haul says the 4x4 Pathfinder is too heavy but the 4x2 Pathfinder is not. Understanding that the weight difference between the two is about 250 pounds, can I tow the 4x4 safely?

- you should be able to,most places don't want to accept responsibility but it might be front end width too? 250 lbs is nothing
- Please don't listen to the first answer. All weight should be considered. There is a lot of information you don't give. Keep in mind that going forward is 1/2 of the problem. The other 1/2 is stopping. First off don't even consider a tow bar unless its a short move, 25 miles and low speed and no hills. If you can't do this you need a trailer to carry the car. Your U-Haul truck must be big enough to take that weight in both moving and stopping. And believe me its the stopping that counts. If your unsure, than have the Pathfinder transported by a car carrier. In the end, a lot of luck needs to be on your side. Look at the big mobile home/campers. Many tow their own transportation behind them and its most often a small car, they must have a reason. In the end use your own brain to come up with the right answer. I can't tell anyone what to do, I can only try to show you the path to follow. Think and good luck. Mark
