auto transport avarage rate per mile?

i have new auto transport company but do long hauls for now i am looking to set up local accounts but i would like to know what is the market rate for auto transport per mile i know how much i need to get but i do not want to go too low or high with the rate since i would not want to change the rates others get my companny locatedd in NJ i need serious amswers from auto transporters or brokers

1. I'd say that a fair price would be about $1.00-1.25 per mile, depending on the route. Of course trips from North Dakota to West Virginia would be a bit more expensive per mile than a trip from Texas to California. But, overall I'd figure about $1.00-1.25 per mile would be a fair price.
