How to find an accurate UPS rate ?

Hi I went to ups site and tried the calculate time and cost. I want to ship an 1 lb item to AK from NY, the ground shipping cost shows up $35.59. This is an insane price. Does anyone know how to get an accurate price? The zip code that I tried was NY: 11355, AK: 99803. I choose Detailed Time and Cost. How much did it show up ?

1. It sounds like you may have accidently click on air service or you asked for a pickup when you do not have pickup service. Our chart shows about $6 or $7 to ship from California to New York.
